couple questions...

can you maybe post some closer pics of the gears and how this machine works in order to spin each plant. I want to try to make a DIY version with some rubbermaid tubs or something.


also, about how tall is the machine. how tall can your plants get?

you should add one of those cheap co2 machines since it isn't much volume in there, but then your plants might grow too tall for it.

well, the strain is the biggest thing when it comes to stretch. My blue moon rocks refuses to hardly put on any stretch on her at all, where as the purple kush is maxed out and I had to super crop the tops as they were scrappin along the top of the unit. Yeah, they only veg'd for about 5-7 days I believe

Thanks 420gurl, I must admit its a bit pricey but if I had to do it again I would in a heart beat. It was right around 2k.

just standard gears to get'em spinnin' the picture in the first post or so should do a good job of givin ya an example. The gears slide over the outside of the netcup and lock themselves in with the holes in the netcups. Cant get any pictures clear enough to show you with the unit up and goin, so might have to wait awhile for that one.

the system from the ground to the top of the unit is about 40" the height inside the chamber is about 22-23".

Sorry took me awhile to get back to ya'll was off at the ht cann cup and just startin to get settled back in around here and get caught up. Took some pictures last night that I'll work on gettin uploaded them later...

Sounds good. Can't wait to see how those plants are doing.

I will probably never grow in my life but I love drawing up concepts if I ever did.

a device that can spin a 5 gallon bucket lid would really help those tree growers maximize their yeild.

Love the setup, however wouldnt topping the plants (once or twice aid in making the plants more cylindrical, thus filling in the area better, then having a single top

Well, there seems to be room in the center from what I've seen so far in the thread and the 2009 expo on utube (shows the gears) for a huge gear/wheel/friction spinning device, perhaps it could sit against several buckets... Gotta wonder how much to DIY :laughing:
