No doubt these people are stupid, but thats not a crime

just a week ago there was a baby swigging on a bottle of beer at all ball park back east, they showed it on one of the big network morning talk shows... no investigation.

How bout the 2 yr old smoking a cigarette
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/video/smoking-baby-causes-web-controversy-10757122

but put a glass bong in front of a baby with no smoking going on, just a photo op (a stupid one, but harmless never the less).. and the sky falls.
I am in no way condoning but i wont condemn them either, why? no harm no foul...
These 3 stories all broke within a week of each other, which is most harmful? disturbing? and which one is getting the most air time?

think about it.
studies have been dont that confirm mothers who use cannabis have heather babies than those that dont, check this article

Someone please enlighten me as to what good could come from taking and then posting this picture on the internet. Im as big of a stoner as you'll ever find. I mostly use to deal with medicinal issues BUT Id be a huge liar if I said I dont ever abuse mj recreationally. That said, as a parent, I wouldnt even find it funny if my son A) got a hold of my bong or B) knew how to mimic its use. I would be flat out ashamed of myself. I dont consider smoking weed to be bad at all, but just the same I dont want to encourage my infant/toddler child to smoke anything. Sad stuff really. What a dumbass 19 yr old mother

People are posting incriminating and otherwise ridiculous photos and videos of themselves online all the time now a days. Posting on sites like Facebook and Myspace photos with their illegal drug stashes, guns, gang signs, all kinds of stuf. The need to show off to people is the same as always, but the ability to do it has gotten way outta hand now. It's only going to get worse I think

Wow...what is the world coming to? Pressing charges on a parent because they took a picture of their baby holding a unloaded bong. Victimless crime, how do you punish somebody for this under common law...oh yea, that doesn't exist in the USA anymore. I wonder when they'll just start taking your children.

I also read an article were it said not to leave your empty beer bottles with the suds in them because babies, todlers crawl around and could drink the suds and after years of this without it being done intentionally the kid gets a taste for beer and it can lead to joanzing for beer and the kid could grow up drinking at an early age and becoming an alky.

Either way be responsible, theirs a time and place for toking and it's up to us to make sure we don't look like half ass drug addicted people with no sense for being capable people raising children.

Would that mother give that baby a handgun to hold or play with??

It IS a joke ,but the bottomline is it is not something that anyone with any class or common sense should be putting out there for the whole world to see.

I'm not sure which parents are worst the one with the baby holding the Bong or the Parents who let the little chubby baby 2 yr old for smoking 45 packs of ciggs a day lol

I've started wondering this year if a lot of the cannabis-related news getting media attention is initiated, helped along or even planted by the powers that want cannabis to stay illegal. Think about recent news headlines that play up drug busts and kids being effected. It seems like it's taken on a new flavor and emotional aspect.

Every time something like this is seen, there is a subconscious impression made. If somebody is on the fence about MMJ, decrim or legalization, something like this might just push them the wrong way.

Or, it could just be stupid people working overtime! :chin:

stupid people working overtime!

I coudln't agree more with ya Sunshine!

This makes people on the fence shy away from signing much needed signatured petitions and support because of stupid ass Irresponsible people who think it's nothing more then a joke but forget how it effects all of our rights in the end.
