Pure haze , 120 days .......

It was too fragile to break up and too big to fit in anything , was going to be hung a couple of weeks and smoked , completely forgot about it till last week.

Evicting the enormous spider which had built a nest was like a scene from Arachnaphobia but with more screaming.

I smoke a lot and this makes me feel out of control and quite scared , a casual toker would be hit hard.
Physical sensations of things crawling over your skin , visual and temporal distortions and violent mood swings add to the fun.

Something has been lost leaveing it unbalanced in effect and a little too extreme , will dry sieve the rest for some future victim.

Haze's or pure sativas just kick start my anxiety.
Still really cool that you got the chance to grow this plant!

now that looks like some weed you would be forced to smoke in joints... (id prefer joints of it over bongloads anywaze)
I can only imagine what the high is like on that...
I grew some Thunk that i let go around 120 days...
Im not patient enough for those long sat's, but the high's they produce is almost worth it

wow!! that looks amazing...by the way you describe the high it sounds far more than worth it..the yield dosent matter much if the plant is amazing. I just have to ask did you seed that baby or grab a clone?

This almost pure haze was an extreme from a recent sucessfull MountainHigh test grow.

These were taken at 120 days and the plant is still cropping at 145+ with no signs of fully stopping.

Yield is very low but the quality of the smoke is astounding , a strong confidant rush with heightened senses and clear focused thoughts as if a fog was lifted from your brain.

Taste is intense sweet floral and a little goes a long way , very much like a confectionary called Palma violets from way back and almost too sweet.

I smoke a lot of sativas and Haze crosses but nothing has ever come close to the targetted high from this and will be searching out similar if a little faster.

Anybody else have any skinny girls on the go ?

Reminds me of an African strain from a few years back. To understand the high these pure sativas offer is to smoke it. Words cannot describe what the OP states. It's not like weed at all. It's like freaking acid.

Sounds like it degraded and no wonder after 8 months in moist air.
Same as an over-ripe sativa - it has power but no happiness. And the effect is more distracting and introvert. Not much to the liking of a true sativa fan.

Was a shame i forgot about it , six months max in glass would have been about right , never much to cure and it goes fast.

Original plant is still going from tip rooted shoots , clones very slowly and only one in five makes it.

Have made seed with four males with it and about to start the freakshow , mass late season greenhouse selection , save the few interesting expressions from 150 plants and finish them indoors , looking for specific males as well , not ideal but speeds things up.

Should be able to select on trichome size by that time as well , from what i observe the exotic highs are only present with the smaller diameter , thin stalked type over several Haze crosses and lines.
Possibly the logical cross is with a stable old NL male that is very neutral and dominates little if any trait in previous tests , it halved a Zamals flower time and kept the important character in some girls at least.

I was once amazed at a bag of Hazey weed that had so small trichome heads that could barely be seen with naked eye, yet the potency was unbelievable. After that bag (100gr) I never care about how "crystal" the buds look, trichome size is for the eyes.

On that plant you show in the begining of the thread, can I ask if you pulled the fan leaves or if they fell off and if so, when did the drop? I've noticed the tendancy for some plants to drop leaves in the middle of flower (and here I'm talking around 40 days in) and end up producing extra potent flowers. I think it may have to do with the stress, or perhaps more direct light on the buds. I've never pulled leaves off in the flower cycle so I don't know if the leaf drop is the cause of the increased potency or another result of some other underlying cause.

To make it short: I'm wondering if leaf drop had anything to do with the outcome you got there. Look beautiful, by the way. I'd love to try some, though I'm a huge lightweight so it would be a tiny hit for me.

it's so extreme sativa! anyway you can't sell this if you grow it indoors, the ratio time/quantity is so big... outdoors of this one should be great!

Only noticed the considerable size difference when two disparate plant samples shared a microscope slide by chance , dont know if it true for all Haze types or not.

This plant had a few single and three bladed fan leaves of very sativa form on the first few nodes that fell to a seemingly natural process in early flower , been a string of individual pistill sites ever since and true from clone.

I would categorise it as a vine type running sativa , seen in a number of landrace types and sometimes pops up in unexpected places.

They pop slow and are absolute runts in early to mid veg , most people would cull them in the first month , few survive to be wittered on about by mad people like me but they are quite common in long standing Haze crosses and at least some established lines from what i have seen.

The only reason this one survived was its stability , has not shown any intersex markers or structures to date , all others seen have been dreadfull hermie expressions sometimes with alternateing male and female flowers.

Tis a bit of a freak and time would probably be better spent elsewhere in reality , if a useable faster type with a comparable high is present it may not be a common one , if none present in 150 its probably too rare or non existant.

Will probably remain as a growroom novelty to confuse and amuse.

Not sure about fan leaves and the quality/nature of the high , none have many to start with and for me the best stone comes from buds finished under quite low light levels and mostly sidelit.

Was an absolute disaster in the greenhouse , thin curled leaves proved perfect for every leaf sucking and munching insect on the list to move in and were not controllable by organic means , indoors is my domain and i would have nuked them with something.

Sorry 2 hear bout the yeild but the high sounded fantastic both samples lol. U got these from Tom rite (sorry didn't check da link)? If so this is the 1 i've been waiting 4 even longer then the Chemdog IBL, a good line of Original Haze. Now I can began my search 4 da Acid pheno. I don't care if it takes yrs, I don't just want a average or good pheno I want 1 of those 5% acid phenos TomHill talks about. I've even seen SamS say it has no equal. I'm wondering if Sams seeds (the o.haze crosses) r devired from an acid pheno mother or did he keep the good stuff 2 his self but really how long or hard it will b 2 find the 5% pheno n Toms beans since his r pure but based off Sams old lines via I think postronics. I've seen there is a thread in Toms forum where sum1 is looking for the acid pheno but I don't think has found anything close yet. Hopefully he does as this would b more promising 2 my quest.

Again thanks for the report. Take care and enjoy da haze. 1

This was from mountain high stock and a bit of a throwback , not the kind of plant any sane person would mess with despite the interesting high , nothing like it so far in the crosses being trialed.

About to invest in a couple of Toms packs myself now i am satisfied in current germination rates , reckon you will find something worthy in every pack but at one in twenty you stand a low chance of finding a 5% expression in a single pack , F2 everything and you probably will find it in the first hundred or two.

Dont forget that half will be male so its one in forty seed and not good odds starting with ten even if they all pop.

Doubt the occurence of this type can be pushed any higher than it is already so this seems to be the best path to take , same for many crosses and heir promoted expressions if the truth is known , i dont mind doing a little work to find them and its fun as well as less expensive than buying multiple packs or closely guarded clones.

i have a super silver haze that has been flowering since march 23(4 months next week) and she is just starting to bud....she is a beast and hadto lst her and then cut about 3 feet off her twice for a total of 6 feet cut off just to keep her size down.

she is from greenhouse seeds, so i bet she is not really a ssh, but maybe a mix up of seeds or bad genetics....but looking at the "arjans thai-tanic" video i can say my plant really looks loke that, but like i said i had to cut her down a few times.

i made clones from her sister, and the clones are just starting to flower @ week 7....so i know im in for another long ride....
