goll-e! Big ups for the new greenknot.k pictures, the unique leaves from the first peek showing to be even more unique as growth continues. Staying tuned to this one, any information about the kentish creme? This is the first time hearing of that variety.

Kentish Creme is a UK clone only from Jamaica. There's plenty info. in the Jamaican strain ident. thread.

Black Jack [Sweet Seeds]

This plant was slow considering the genetics,, long-long flowering time,, plus we think it has an inherent mutation or acquired virus ,, either way it's never been healthy,, visible in the older fan leaf. Responded well to high N and wormcast tea to help correct / iron out any deficiencies.

Many thanks for the camera tips Doobieduck  You the doobie :joint:

She's chunky for sure,, (this image is more in focus) :D

,,, low bud to leaf ratio on this plant (b) ,, possibly due to topping and haste to enter into flower at a young age (lol). For a force-flowered plant under natural sunlight in mid-summer,, she's growing OK though. A bit of damage from white-fly pest here n there, but otherwise still reasonably healthy ,, feed stopped last week,, cold water only from now on in :canabis:

This (b) plant seems to have matured faster than the (a) plant that is 2 weeks further into flower,,, so it's still a strange thing ,, the plant-world :ying:

Eh up Doc, just wondering how cold is cold?
Just fresh from the pipes, room temp or something different?

Just cold Ryu,, not freezing. We've used frozen ice before for watering without negative results so anything is possible :D

My theory is that indica like cold water and sativa like tepid water during the final stages of flowering... dont know why,, but it seems to work :D

Looking good, doc.

I imagine that some indican strains would get the chance to see some cool water during their lives. I doubt that the case for most sativas in their native habitat.

Yeah that's why ^^^ I was being coy before (perhaps stating the obvious,, or just taking the piss). We grew up some Chitral x Skunk seedlings in a really free-draining soil mix on blocks of ice once as an experiment,, and they friggin loved it:dance013:

,, took a few hours for the ice to melt in spring mind :D

Never say never.

Peace n flowers all... :canabis:

I agree indicas would get cold water more than sats, only ever done one outside little grow and cold wasn't a noticeable problem, never pushed the envelope with ice though, lol

I think the seedlings look great with an icy backdrop, probably not bad for reflecting light too :)
What other freaky techniques you holding out on?

Hehe... Ryu

You know me ,, got a new trick in every pocket n still wearing combats :bandit:

'Nettle Tea' is the latest revolution these sides,, don't think we'll ever need to buy N ferts in spring-summer-autumn again  Started a thread in organic forum on the subject and the organic fanatics are all-ready well on it

10 days leached in a bucket of water and we reached 1.0 EC on the bluelab... which is about 1.2 EC cause the food-push is organic  After 15 days all the nettle dissolve into the water ,, gone,, stinks like cow-shit,, but makes the perfect veg. fert ,, full of nitrogen, magnesium, iron and other good-stuff :canabis:

In future this will be the base of the guano-wormcast- wood ash teas :D

A blend of wormcast , compost, coco fibre can make for a really nice soil-mix,,,

picture.php

,, go easy on the worm casts (cold),, and invest in a good quality compost (warm). The coco fibre can be 2nd-hand, so long as it isn't saline (full of chemical salts)... approx. ratio :

5-10% wormcast
35-40% compost
50% coco

,, we usually add a small spoon of seabird guano and a large spoon or two of bat guano to each soil mix.

Hope this helps
