New Grower here.... when is it time to go into jars?

I am going with the glass jar method, got them all cleaned up, got my Caliber III 's ready to go. Question though. They have been hanging for 3 days, the stems don't snap, just bend..last night I took a straggler popcorn bud home and trimmed it up and tossed it in the pipe...it was dry enough to smoke although you could defitinly tell it was still wet. Sooo the question is this; Is it time to manicure and start the curing process? I have seen people say 2 weeks and I have seen peeps say 3-5 days before throwing them in jars... Any input much appericated! :tiphat:

you'll get ten thousand answers and 9500 of those will work.

simons thread is about as good as your going to get them, if you follow his instructions.

I personally cut the fresh plants, and manicure into nug size (walnut sized or double walnut), and dry them on "sweater drying racks" (mesh stretched over a plastic frame) with a small fan blowing on them,...this opens the nugs slightly as I get just fucking rock hard buds, and this definitely helps the smoke-ability at the other end.

once the buds are 90% dry, but still have some wiggle in the tips, they go into the jars with the hygrometers and I follow simons moisture chart.

30 days is a great smooth smoke, but 3 months is better and I have a couple jars that are over a year old and smoke like fine vintage, well cured craft grown bud should.

I think how you DRY the buds is up to you, but CURING using simons method is the only way I'll do it now

My only advice is the the timing for how long you hang,,, is " other peoples drying times are not relevent to you " the temp and humidity determine how long ... when I lived in the west EVERYTHING dried out much quicker.. good luck...
