Any one having probs with Cavemans.co.uk?

Hey all.

I ordered some Guano from cavemans.co.uk paid via paypal
I have had no order confirmation from cavemans. I tried Phoning and all i get is a discontinued number!
I have also emailed them and had no reply.
And i am too far away to call in on them.

Is anyone else having problems? or had problems?

I sure hope they've not gone Bump!!

I've never heard of them before, but I did a whois search and came up with the following info. I think it's a bit suspect that the site owner "Michael Witham" has registered as a non-trading individual, to hide his contact details. They are also saying "under new management" on the web site.

You can get your money back from paypal, just initiate a dispute. If nothing else that will at least get their attention.

It's always worth trying to contact a business before you buy online.

Yeah does seem a bit suspect doesnt it!
I missed in the 1st post i did phone them last week and the phoneline was working so i left a message.
Their answerphone message also gave a mobile number to contact someone but i didnt write it down(silly me) thats why i tried today to phone and found the number disconnected!

I went to caveman's as another member mentioned in a grow log they used them for the guano.so i thought id give them a try

Guess i'll just have to wait and see what happens, i dont hold too much hope with paypal if cavemans dont reply to the dispute(i tried b4 on ebay and got nothing back but that was a few years ago)

He was legit a couple years ago, but things might have changed if it has changed hands. I had an order from him back then no problem. The guy was on Dragon's Den pitching his biz a few years ago -- didn't get the cash.

I ordered some guano from Caveman....After a while of it not showing up, I emailed him. He was in India at the time and told me the web site should have been shut down as he had sold the business. Any way he arranged for me guano to be sent on his return to the UK. Good shit it is as well.

No i didn't get an email from cavemans all i have is an email from paypal saying i sent the money to them.

How long ago was your dealings with caveman?

I ordered last December, that is when i received an email saying he was in India and did i want to wait until he returned in February 2010. I waited until end of March then I emailed him asking about my order. This is when he told me he had sold the business and he organised my guano to be delivered.

We found this guano was quite weak (compared with Sea Bird Guano),, but still ok for vegetative growth.

Just Recieved an email from cavemans Apologising for the delay as they are Moving to a new warehouse and are a little behind with orders.
I should get it by the end of the week.

Like the Doc said it's good for veg. I mix with worm castings in water for feed in veg.
I got high P for flower.

Only the larger shops will stock it,, otherwise you can ask to have some ordered/delivered to the local small shop
And jsut a small bag lasts quite a long time to be honest

i met michael and spoken to him a few times and hes a nice guy. i use his guanos for veg and flower and get great results. so he sold it, bet he did ok from it too.

Hey this michael witham is my personal friend helped him with the initial idea of cavemans bat guano jus wish i had backed some money into it remember seeing him the day b4 he was on dragons den surprised he never got the cash but im pretty sure he's done well outta it.. havent seen him inna while but still if theres any more problems let me know and i will get in touch with him chase him up and find out wots going on....

hey Doc havent you tried his rock guano? they dont sell that one in oxfam but i use it as my main bloom fert and it works great for me.

caveman used to work at black market records in soho back in the day.

no, im strictly house music mate - prog and jackin' or electro (perhaps im showing my age there )

dont know him very well but we used to trade white labels with them at the shop. i had a couple of record labels and sold them around the same time caveman was getting out of the music biz so we chatted a bit about that.

i was his first customer for the guano, lol, i met him on a street corner and traded cash for bags of the stuff like some strange drug deal. he waited ages for the first container load to clear customs
