On the left is my C99 #8, and on the right is my C99 #4 to show the difference in growth.

Close ups of #8, the bottom leaves died and fell off as you can see, and it appears to be spreading.

Close up of #4 nice and healthy

Snype doesn't know what the problem is, so any help would be greatly appreciated! I have thrips but i've been killing them and my other plants have them and don't have the problem #8 has.

It looks to me like you have some kind of infestation, if you have got spider mites I recommend getting some floramite, it will take care of all mites. It's hard to tell from the pics but it could also be some powdery mildew that you have there, sulfer burner will help get rid of that.

#4 might have it/them too ... zoom a little low of center and a little left below the fan leaf ... lower leaves that don't get much light turn yellow and die off but that looks bleached and bitten?? like the severely stricken #8. I've seen some freaky leaf stuff ... and I live with controlling mites ... I have Never seen anything quite like that. Break us off some info on how you're going about growing these things ...

Yeah it must be them hit n' run spider mites :bigeye: I seem to get the ones that like to 'hang' around and feed on my girls.

Look at the underside of your leaves, you might see tiny black specs, that will be the mites they are very hard to see. Defo get some floramite, they sell it on ebay in small doses, 1/4 tea spoon to a gallon of water for small plants if I remember correctly.

This is a big hint that it is spider mites, they will attack the oldest leaves first and work their way up the plant to the newer growth.

There are 3 plants in the veg room that have spider mites but they are on the other side of the room with a lot of plants in between the infected 3 and my c99. none of the plants in between have the same defects as my #8c99, also if it was spider mites, if they got to my #8 why didn't they get to my other c99's? The spots on the bottom leaves of the #4 are from thrips but i kill them everyday and have been seeing very few because of this. Just want be sure of a cause before i take an action.

Thanks for your help!

Edit: I just checked all my plants and i don't have any spider mites.

You don't look like you're on top of it.
Your plants look sick.
You need to buy a book or do some internet research.

its definitly from the Thrips
Thrips are really tiny, but can be seen by the naked eye. Some may have wings and some may not. Thrips reproduce rapidly, especially in tight places. That is what makes them hard to get rid of when using pesticides. The suck the sap right out of your plant with there piercing mouths, which makes the leaves look like they turned white. You can tell when you have thrips by taking a look at your leaves, the leaves will look as if there chlorophyll have been ripped right off the plant. Plants that are damaged can’t be healed thus making it harder for the plant to absorb light. SO if left untreated the thrips will kill the plants. Damage also can be seen by the greenish black specks of there poop they leave on leaves. Also the plants will show silver patchs from scar tissue. Depending on the severity at first, thrip damage might look like spider mite damage untill it increases in damage and then thrips case is for sure when you see the greenness replace with big parts of white.

One good way to repel thrips for those growing outside is to use garlic, this is a good way to keep them away before you get them. The color yellow attracts the thrips and should be advised not to have this color around your grow.. If you already have them using neem oil, and or lady bugs can get rid of them. If the infestation is bad then you need to use biological solution like, pyrethrin-like insecticides. Picture 8 shows thrips damage.
Other Products include:
Chemicals
Hot Pepper Wax,Safer Yard & Garden Insecticide (which can be used right to the day of harvest),GNATROL( used in hydro in the water as well as soil),Doc's Neem Pest Soap,Safer Sticky Stakes,TR-11000 Pyrethrum.

This sight isa source of research, oldog.
My plants have some spotting from thrips.. it happens. & i started over 2 years ago. Sometimes you get a problem you havn't seen before. My boyfriend who has over 15 years of growing experience doesn't even know what is wrong with #8. It doesn't mean i'm not on top of things.

We bombed the veg room with Doktor doom this morning.

I would get some Floramite, and some Forbid 4F. Use the Floramite once, then two weeks later use the Forbid. Forbid is systemic and is transported "through" the leaves to the underside where thrips and mites hang out, and will kill them. Floramite is not systemic, so you have to spray the underside also, but using these two in conjunction will deliver a knock out. Both can be used up to 2 months before harvest, some people even go 1 month into flowering, but 2 months is the safe number. I would hit them 2 weeks before flower with Floramite then on the 1st day of flowering with the Forbid. guaranteed problem solver.
