hey everyone.. i just noticed these little white sac like shells on the sides of my stems... i cant find anything on the leafs. there are no bugs that i can find even with a microscope. there isnt any damage to the plant either..... its weird.. sorry i dont have a camera but was just wondering if anyone has seen or kno what im talkin about..

when i wipe it off the plant. it looks like it was just stuck to it like glue. an crumbles when i squeeze. i took a microscope to it. and didnt see any kind of bug living inside it or anything...

im loosing my mind ppl. what is this??

I've seen little hard, almost translucent 'balls' on my branches before... akin to sap leaking from from a tree.

That's how I've always interpreted it... slight damage/tear/rip to the outer skin of the stem, which leaks plant sugars, which hardens to the balls. The plant bleeds & forms a scab, if you will.

Dunno... curious to hear others as well.

Pic would be great... if you could work it...? Peace

Sounds like male preflowers... Are they on the main stem, right next to where the branch/leaf attach?

Could possibly be sap, but unless it is sweet tasting and sticky do not think this to be the case.

You mention crumbly, does it taste bitter? If so it could be an insects excriment. A number 2, if you will. Often you may not see the actual insect itself, but it could be a possibility. This is my best guess, hope it helps.
