Running a grow op without a car

I do my growbiz with official transportitation/municipial vehicles- train and bus ect. Here in my european country no problem.
I take it you live in the Federal Dictatorships of America? Wouldn't using your friends car give them an allowance to search his home in case you get busted? Definetly immoral, if my assertion is right.

Go to a used car dealer, pick out a car, not too expensive. Test drive it. When he asks if you want to make a deal, tell him you want to take it to your mechanic and get it checked out first. When he asks how long that will take, tell him 'Shouldn't be more than three hours.'

Boom, free car, someone else's tags, and no rental car emblem on the back to scream THIS GUY DOESN'T WANT TO USE HIS CAR TO GO TO HYDRO STORE. WONDER WHY?"

Just have your shopping list ready, don't have much time to screw around

Hola IC :tiphat:
I am worried about having to tear down quickly and get outta the house but hopefully this would never be a problem. If it is a problem you guys have any ideas? A car would definetly be needed for this I feel like..

Plus at most Uhaul site's you can get the tall wardrobe box's!
Those, a furniture dolly and box van and you could make a grow disappear in no time!!

Pull up close to the house ( hopefully a garage) lean some tall furniture like a mattress on the truck and no one is seeing shit!! :dance013:

how about something like this?

not very sleek i know but it runs on pedal power and
a re-chargeable NiCad battery pack.

btw, they have many other models besides this so
here is a link where you can check to see if any appeal.

I'd go bat free, less to go wrong and light weight.

I had a pedal assist bike from the 70's and it was not something you wanted to pedal. I think super man would be tired before he got around the block. With the motor running it was slow as snail, but it took a week of beating on the little bike every day to run it out of gas. What i really liked is that it had the electric start option, but if the bat was dead, you just pedaled up to like 5 mph and hit the clutch to start. Once the bat died for good I sent it out and never put one back in.

I'd suggest a gas moped w/basket if you want something powered. That is just me though, I still have no faith in battery operated vehicles.

lol, they've come a LONG way in battery technology
since the '70's man, a freeken LONG way.

back then i had a gas powered moped and i liked it for
getting around town, i lived in Lauderdale at the time,
but it wasn't very practical for totin' stuff, lol.

and these new bikes are powered by NiCad's not 12 or 6
volt dry cells, plus, i think they advertise that they run
just like a non-powered one would if you just pedal.

here, check this one out

...and i was wrong, the battery pack isn't NiCad, it's
lithium-ion, anyway, heres some info for ya.

Just make good lists man...

I already rent cars for trips to the store, transporting produce, etc...I rent them because I put alot of miles on the road working, so having rentals is just a byproduct.

Seriously, after you get a harvest or 2 go get a beater bro. It would be super cheap to get an old van and very inconspicuous. Plus you live in CA, its cold there man! I just think with rentals, borrowing cars, etc, you're gonna come out in the same spot moneywise. I didn't have a car for 3 years, I was growing mushrooms at the time, and it was a pain to get materials sometimes. I'd have to get huge bags of castings, bales of coir, shit like that which was a pain, plus the grow shop was 20 miles away, and I live in the south...HOT. Plus if you have to break down QUICK, who has the time to go rent a van? plus you have to put a deposit down when you rent....usually 200 bucks, and they need a credit card....

Best of luck however you do it bro, I'm sure you'll be successful as you have the right mindstate, but I'd do a pro/con list and think about what a POS van is gonna cost at the end of the day....

Edit:
I'm super paranoid about shipping shit to my grow. I have a po box and a good friend that I can mail things to as well....

get a little red wagon. worked for me in elementary school. probably still works.

in all seriousness you can rent for 19.99 at any DIY place for 75 minutes. Should be MORE than enough to pick up and get out. or zips car. or even a rental. after the initial purchase you probably won't need it very much unless you forget something.

Random insert: Can`t you just buy `day` passes for your insurance? That way, don`t can your car, just un-insure it, don`t claim it for your fees. If you need it, you`ll get your 24 hour notice (make sure that`s in the agreement), take everything down, pack your car. Make sure you build as little as possible and as efficiently as possible, so if you do need to rip it down, you can do it. :D

Just to point out... when you actually rent a Uhaul truck, or van, it doesn't come out to $20. That's the advertised base price. Then you add insurance, $p/mile and gas, before you know it, it's closer to $40-$50+. I bought my first car for not much more than $50. You could definitely get a sufficient beater for a couple hundred bucks, no problem. If anyone is ACTUALLY watching the hydro store... a rental van/truck/car/taxi is such a huge flag. A cop would be like, "that dude's doin' it big enough that he uses a rental" and follows you home and busts you. And a ripper would be like, "that dude's doin' it big enough that he uses a rental..." and follows you home and robs your ass.

all you need to do is see if there is a tail. not a problem.

Police aren't as stupid as you may think, pretty easy use two or even three different cars to follow.

But at the same time I don't hear of police busts from watching hydro shops all that often, never heard of it around me I don't think.

yeah they can use a 2 to 3 car set up and follow. but all you have to do is a U-TURN and watch rearview mirror, they don't need to turn around but you watch for the BRAKE LIGHTS. take back streets. and i highly doubt unless they know when you (specific big timer) are going are they ever going to run a 3 car relay.

Three car tails are easy to trip up, mhm is right it brings more heat. Depending what you`re buying, most hydro shops will bag items that you can walk to your car that`s parked down the block. Surveillance is limited by budget. Take note of car colors when you leave, drive 15 minutes in the opposite direction, drop military u-turns, u-turns, park in a parking lot for a while at a mall. HELL, just go to the mall on a saturday, they`ll have fun following you. If the grow is at your place and you notice surveillance, don`t screw up, or shut down the grow for a while until heat dies down (easier said than done). That`s why it`s always a good idea to use a friends car, impossible to trace, too many degrees, not enough money to invite all of joes friends to the cop shop saturday :).

You`ll never get busted buying grow supplies, it`s not illegal. They`ll flag you as a person of interest and watch you for trip-ups if their potential pay-out is big enough or if they need a headline for the sunday newspaper.
