NFTs are easy to run, there are plenty of good growers rocking nft, but they are an older system and growers like what new and sexy. End of the day it really shouldn't matter what system you choose, just what suits you.

I started out with NFT, like many hydro growers I suppose. It got good results, but changing the reservoir was slow and painful, moving the plants around was a pain as well. If the water pump fails and it's the middle of summer your plants could dry out and die in less than twelve hours. I also found that the plants weren't very well supported and tended to fall over when they got heavy. None of these are insurmountable problems, just little irritations that add up. I also found that rDWC increased my yield significantly.

Not really. Single bucket DWC is a piece of cake, one air line in and that's it.

If you mean recirculating DWC then I agree that it can be a bit fiddly, I only tried it after a few years of other types of hydro and I was a lot more familiar with tubing and pumps etc by then.

NFT is awesome for SOG grows, but the site spacing is a little tight for anything bigger than that. Alot of people are restricted by law as to how many plants they can have, so they need to grow bigger plants to get the most yield possible from their limited plant numbers. NFT traditionally is not designed to grow trees (although you could build one for that purpose)
