I'd question that strains diesel label ... Here's why
that's from seed (not supposedly The Clone) and looks to be a closer representation of what is Known as Diesel.

To be honest i question its diesel heritage as well. I got 10 clones from a friend who got em from a friend who got em from his uncle.... hahahaha... I was pretty sure they were not diesel anyways. what i find funny is that my plant is showing sativa influences, and these guys i get it from chop at like 6 weeks.. they are just pure commercial guys that make bunk weed. no clue... I didnt have seeds yet and thats why ig ot the clones. I have a ton of good genetics getting ready to go for my next run. I mean these look pretty good anyways. If anyone might know what strain it is by all means. hahaha It is starting to foxtail a tiny bit.
Just wondering, are you looking at the pistils or trichomes. I harvest generally when the trichomes are milky. I use a photographers loupe 20x to determine this.

I am looking at the trichomes. I have a loupe and a pocket microscope. but the stupid microscope is impossible to use. anyways Heres a shot i took a few days ago with my brothers camera. I dont have it anymore tho. But i looked at them today still mostly clear. And thanks to GrnMtnGrwr Heres a pic that i uploaded at full quality. Let me know what you think from this pic. those look clear still, if you want to chop now you will kick yourself RIGHT AFTER you hack the main stem trust me, I have done that plenty of times over the years. Remember the veg time and effort put into them, why NOT wait until they are done?
get the amber that you are looking for and even then most people still hack too soon just seein a bit of amber on them. Let em go, get a bit more wait and in the end you will be happier.
just get something else to smoke in the meantime and remember you will have what others can't wait for or don't have the patience for. It would be second to none just on the effort part of it.

nonono im not chopping! im waiting! im just saying its so hard to wait. ! This is the hardest part of growing by far!
I have never grown diesel so I guess what I said was wrong.Some people dont wait for amber trichs.Its one of those back and forth things that some people like to argue one way or the other.But most people I think do wait for atleast some amber trichs.Sorry.Im not one of those people that knows everything so sometimes im wrong.
But like I said last time...they look real good..you have did a good job with them.Congratulations.

if so I recommend the following...
take a bud now, date label it and store it, take one in a weeks time label it and store it etc up to day 70... when you're finished you'll have 4 test buds and can decide where you liked it taken best, then next run you'll know for sure .... works for me mate
*edit - when pushed for time I've smoked the test buds as I went along and cropped when I was satisfied with the most recent sample.. this wont tell you what's "optimum" but will let you know if it works suffciantly to be cropped.

My best guess on what you might have (it definitely looks like smokable nuggetry) would be something like Rezs Wonder Diesel. If you're looking exclusively at the top of the buds you might miss the amber. Weed grows and flowers like a volcano ... as in The Tops are the newest growth/flowers. I bet you have a few cloudy-amber trichs at the lower portions of your buds.

I do have a mom kept to run and 2 other clones already 23 days into flowering in the side of the tent as well. I'm not sure if ill be keeping it long term tho... Like i said its some pretty random genetics.
I was thinking of the sampling thing but im just gonna wait and let em go amber before i harvest. or at least a week or two longer.

so its day 62 now. I'm seeing bits of amber. The problem now is that my veg chamber is starting to get overflowed. My clones and new seedlings are just going nuts!! one of the seedlings grew like 1.5 inches over night and hit one of my lightbulbs! im not sure what to do now. Harvest soon or let it go a little longer. I dont know if i can wait that long for my nxt batch. I did get a new tent. but i have no lights for it yet, waiting on those probably be another week to two till i get it.
Right now im seeing maybe 5% amber crystals but a lot of them still look clear. You guys think its ready to harvest ?

It really depends on how many clear ones are left. I know you want amber but you also want minimal clear. Otherwise it'll be pot-lite.

Well im not realy gonna flush just gonna do the same as usual. Except spray with just water for the last bit cuz i had some PM in mid flowering so i just hit it with a 10% milk spray every 4 days or so. So ill just do a clean water spray before. Otherwise i havent fed them any nutes, just the stuff thats in the soil, just added water.
