Let me start off by saying im a 100% disabled vet i got hurt in the military in 2003 and now take tons of pain pills i hate and i suffer from degenerative bone,disc, and joint disease and have had chronic pain for 7 yrs and it does nothing but get worse my life is getting to the point i spend most of my time in bed and on methadone I HATE IT!!! im 38 its NOT fair to me or my wife and kids!!!! anyway my wife and I have decided to MOVE to Kelseyville, Ca and try to get off of the other meds and on MMJ and hopefully have a better quality of life....anyway my question...i have copies of ALL my medical records and proof of all my conditions.....where should I go when i move to start the MMJ process and can i do it around kelseyville or will i need to go to san fran to start the process???????? plz help GOOD KARMA GROWER's COLLECTIVE sounds like my kind of place maybe once i have the proper paperwork i can join or at least become a customer.......PS my wife and I are flying out to SFO and then driving up to clearlake and looking at several houses on july2-5 and then coming home packing and moving there.......i forgot to mention we are in OKLAHOMA right now..and the HEAT(105+ in summer all the time)..plus the MOST Conservative people ive ever meant live here...im so ready to LEAVE!!!!!!

Just so you know the VA considers mj illegal as they are a federal agency. So don't say anything to them. It could affect your benefits. The state I live in doesn't do any federal cross checking. I don't know if Cali does, but I rather doubt it they don't have the time or money. Just don't say anything to your gummint doc.
actually the medical va and the va gov are two seperate orgs one cant affect the other only on ongoing cases like where you are not yet 100% or your injurys are not permanent in nature..... ones like mine where im total and permenant they CANNOT effect my benefits .....the ONLY thing they could do is deny me my other pain meds and THAT i dont care about I hope to GOD i can get off of them and onto MMJ i hate METHADONE it makes me feel like shit.....

Move to Ca, find a good doctor for prescribing Med MJ towards your need. Do not, if you can, tell anyone else about this. Crossing streams today is like doing what they did in ghost busters, normally a bad idea...

First: Thanks for your service and sorry for your injuries bro.
It will be an easy thing to get a recomendation with the situation you are in. You could take your med records but most of these pot docs just need to see a current prescription bottle and your explanation. They will give a brief exam like blood pressure/weight and then its a talk with the doc. 10 minutes later Im sure he or she will say that they believe medical cannabis could help your condition and give you your paperwork. Thats it. No trip to the bay needed there are docs in the area. This recomendation is private between you and your doctor so you dont involve any county city state etc.. then you can get access to all the clubs/co-ops/collectives etc right away...

p.s.-I live in norcal and take trips to Clear Lake chasing bass on a regular basis... its a great bass lake.

Cool man thx I LOVE TO FISH especially BASS!!!! i cant wait for the climate either down here in oklahoma its the state of extremes in mid summer it might get to 115 and heat index of 130 and in winter months several times youll see below 0 weather... with me on METHADONE i get real heat intolerate and cant even go outside when temps spike above 90 so hopefully the nicer weather will allow me to enjoy the summers months too!!!I cant wait to try hemp oil too ive heard amazing things about it and pain relief!!!! again thx for your comments

Good luck G-man. You should find it pretty easy to get a card, especially if the doc is ex-mil too. A copy of your c&p paperwork will be good for proof. Just work on getting a california issued ID as soon as possible. The temp copy with a mil ID for backup should work.

gary I used medicann. I didnt even have to bring any med paperwork on nothing. I just told the doc I rather be on cannabis the prozac and xanax. Im sure you can get your card thru them. good karma collective is a great place for meds and clones and the farmers market is fantastic you get to hang with other stoners and almost every vendor has samples you can try. Its unbelivable too bad the dispensories in the bay dont do the same. good karma is something special. If you gonna be here in july maybe you could attend the good karma july 4 cup!!! you will fall in love with cali instanly its the best damn state to live in

There are VA doctors that write mmj recs in the bay area, not sure if the time you're here you'd be able to get seen in any of those clinics being 4th of July weekend, but not a waste of time checking.
I'll pm you vet info give me a few days I've had some medical issues I'm dealing with the next few days, but should bounce back sunday or so, and I'll be able to get out and get the #'s to pm

Hey security thx 4 the kind words...I'm actually looking at a house in Kelseyville( on tenino way)on the 2 or 3 depending how tired I am from the flight if the neighbor hood is nice 4 a family I plan on getting it on the SPOT I love the pics of it I've seen so far ....and I love that GKG are right across the lake.I'll put ya as a friend security and MSG ya when I'm going that way!!!
