Yeah, there's Rudies growing in Turkey, as well as Bulgaria.
Check out this photo of a plant I found:

Interesting thread!
Most of the stuff you buy in Turkey is indeed sativa. However, nowadays most of the stuff is total shwag, and usually not worth buying (in Istanbul anyways). It's way too seedy, sometimes brown, and generally not pleasant.
Some beans I've popped from some shwag were also auto flowering, and if cultivated correctly (this is the problem), it's nice stuff.

Here's a read about Turkish strains analysis if anyone is interested.

as well as a couple pics of mid flowering turk tohumu, enjoy:)

Naw dude, those plants are from bagseed :) two different strains. They're super hardy too. Sometimes when you buy weed in Turkey, it's almost pure seeds.....seriously...but I collected and tagged different qualities (when I used to buy it). Its more worth buying h*sh in turkey than bud (seed).

unfortunely them seeds i popped were all eaten by mice as well as my chem x chems sis , thai haze etc :( thought they were gone forever ......... then seen my dad a few weeks ago and he asked me if a bag of seeds he was clutching were anygood for next years outdoor ........ to my disbeleif he had a bag of 100 seeds that he had found in my old room :) so this project will start again soon , my veg room is 24 now so no probems with mice (they dont like light)

I lived in Turkey for more then ten years. there are many different strains. I used to get stuff that are similar to Leb, Afghan, maroc and even to skunk. because it is a crossroads and surrounded with different cannabis growing regions like Iran, caucasia, middle east, I believe there has been many different crosses in time, either intentionally or by nature. so, you might get very good results if you can do proper selection out of turkish bagseeds.
one thing I am sure of is that there are many sativa/indica crosses there with very nice taste, cerebral high and a long lasting stone. some rare samples of good turkish hash can be found in coffeeshops like Kashmir Lounge in A'dam and some regional ones in Netherlands.
btw, Konya is not known as a quality cannabis growing region. try to get a hold on to some strains from hatay or iznik (two of the best known strains which can not be found easily anymore are sarikiz-blonde girl and boz esrar-white hasj)
peace..

I come just from turkey. Close to alanya and buy some bagweed. The aroma of weed was very strong like thai / skunky. I smoked frist joint and 5min after hit me like hammer. I have +20 seeds of those now in Finland. I will put couple of those growing outdoor for veg, and septemper bring indoor cuttings / females. I uppload some pic's then if the project will be okay.

i have just got back from turkey (konya & istanbul) and while i was in konya i bought a half pound of green that was pretty seedy but generally nice thai aroma and instant dreamy high i picked out roughly 1000-2000 seeds to take back (seeds are legal in uk)and had to give literally 5 ounces away before i left because i was paranoid about customs considering i already had 30 butterfly knifes in my case lol annnyway was wondering about flowering times ? and also all the seeds are diffrent shapes and sizes why is this? i was thinkin because the weed that i bought may have come off a few diffrent plants , also i have contacted a friend i made well i was there to see if he will hold back seeds for me just incase their anygood ,, right now i know someone's gotta know something the about turkish landrace? also have tested germ rates and got 9/10
It's been almost 8 yrs since that post but hey, just wondering if you happen to have some of those seeds available.
