Sealed room but my Co2 is lost. [ Help ]

so i have a 12x12 sealed room with Co2. I have a CPPM-1 that is set so my co2 level stays at 1500PPM.

But my FULL co2 tank runs out in 2 days...

What is sucking my co2 besides my plants?

1. i am not venting out of the room
2. I have a portable AC running constant.
3. My house ac is running

Thank You very much.

most portable AC units, (if thats what you have) even those with dual ducts, turn over a good bit of air to outside. Ive heard you can take them apart and fix the connection between inside and outside with mcgiver techniques, but then you have to have a condensation drain set up. otherwise you need to search out the leak. you should get at least a week out of a small tank.

Is your co2 regulator freezing up? Sometimes regulators will freeze up intermittantly. To see if your regulator has a potential to freeze up set your regulator to the highest flow rating and turn it on. As the co2 flows the exspansion of the gas will cause water build up on the reg which will turn to ice freezing the reg wide open letting all the co2 out. This may take a minute or two so be careful.

But for a 20lbs bottle that sounds about right. I had a 8Lx4Wx8H = 256 sq.ft sealed room w/dual hose a/c. and 20lbs co2 would last for about 2 or 3 days @ 1500ppm.

Also check that you didnt drop the O-ring out of the regulator right where it connects to the tank. that happened to me.

u can tell by listening to the connection when the CO2 is not on. You would hear the leak.

(or spray soapy water on the spot... bubbles = leak)

yea i portable AC.

No its not my regulator problem even though that ring did happen to me before.

So its normal for a 20lb tank to run out in 2 days for a 12x12 sealed room?

If its normal im going to upgrade to 50LB tank and use it once a week...

Thank You everyone for helping.

12x12x8H @1500PPM with 20LB tank how long will it last?

its the portable ac...a real sealed room uses a central air unit. ditch the portable and get a mini split...sorry for the bad news

i only grow in sealed rooms. i insulate the shit out of them and seal every nook and cranny...growing trees with lot of light. i only use mini splits or central air units in my rooms that just run constant circulating the air inside the room. a 20 gallon propane tank lasts the whole 8 weeks! sometimes i have to refill 2-3 weeks out depending on how much the plants consume! so the answer to your question is no that is not normal...your portable ac is sucking it all out. doesnt matter what mode you have it on! window shakers will do the same
