i'v rigged up a sterilite microcab (from walmart)-35"x25x18" with rippled reflective material made by sunleaves i belive. installed a pc fan for exhaust i belive its around 33 cfm. the cab it self is about 9 cubic feet.

its gonna fit the 126 watt penetrator perfectly. plan on doing a grow journal when it arrives, love the grow journals alot of ppl have done so far. i'll post a link when the time comes when i have everything ready to go. ordered the led unit a couple days ago so it should be shipping soon.

Hell yea man best of luck to you!

Can't wait to see how the cabinet turns out. I love going through Walmart and looking at all the potential grow boxes it's a lot of fun. Do you have any plans on how to ventilate it yet?

How many cfm's is the PC fan rated for? Will it be strong enough for the passive intake to work effectivley?

I know the rule of thumb is to use pressure to facilitate ventilation. Which would be more air pushing in than out so its always being forced out of the exhaust.

At least, im pretty sure..

Not familiar with micro grows. I'm trying to figure out the best way to exhaust and carbon scrub one of these.

Sorry, forgot to say nice work jay!

Your mounting job of the fan is awesome. Tidy looking wiring job too :)

That's gonna be bright! Can't wait to see you fire up the 126w

this is basically just a shot in the dark kinda thing, the cab is pretty small at about 9 cubic feet..
the little radio shack fan is only 33 CFM which is blowing out of the cab/sucking the air out of the cab

i'v read these led's dont put off too much heat, so i guess it was mostly just to suck in fresh air mostly, (from the 2" whole saw whole opposite side of fan) maybe cooling a tad, i'm sure i'll have to tweak it some way or another when i get everything set-up, i might have to make another 2" whole saw hole for passive intake if need be, i'll post updates when i get it together

i just checked hydro grow leds website and there moving there store to california, and not taking calls till the 22nd, so i prob wont have the unti for another week or better.......sux waiting!!!

Yeah you will be good bro!

So I am taking it smell is not an issue? If so you need a better pc fan and a little carbon scrubber.

Also to help that fan out put a few strategically placed 1" holes in the bottom of the cab to allow cool air to enter in and pass by the air intakes on the plant!!

I have been working with led's in cabs for awhile, let me know if you got any questions!

havent thought too much about the smell issue yet, but i will prob need some sort of small scrubber (any reccomendations for a scrubber and what cfm fan would you reccomend?
yea i can add a few 1" holes along the bottom for more air flow

would like decent airflow, but i dont want to run into a bad humitity level, although im not sure if i would or not with such a small cab
thanks for the help!

Well, I haven't used a small scubber personally but I know a few guys around here can help for sure. I can help ya with the pc fan though if ya need it!

Another thing about led's is they make the plants sweat less so the humidity stays low.

See ya around man, I am always glad to help!
