This is the first run of Vanilla Kush that I've seen on the net so I thought I'd put em on for you guys to see.
They've got around 3 weeks left and are already looking and smelling just fine.
Very hashy smell from it's hash plant parentage with the fresh vanilla pod smell coming through.
They're gonna be flushed tomorrow to get rid of a slight overfert.
The tank was 1.8 but spiked to 2.2 obviously due to some build up in the medium and caused the lock out.
Shiny leaves!!!
Should yield pretty dam good. I'll keep ya posted.

Lineage?

Doesnt even look like a smudge of kush is in there... Is this another case of capitalizing on the "kush craze" with an irrelevant name?

Good yield though, which makes even more sense its not a kush.

see I don't know where it says kush has to be lowe yielder, maybe some cuts out there but the kush mountain line is quite long ,kush isn't very descriptive, and to me this plant has some traits, it certainly is not like a typical afghan

That was just one of my points. Thats not always the case, but generally speaking, id say 90% are average to low yielders.

At least this isnt the south. People call any decent bud "kush" down there. It bugs the shit outta me for some reason.

My point was, throw kush at the end of the name, and all of a sudden, its hot shit.(i.e. Blueberry kush... how creative)

The parents are Hash Plant cross Hindu kush I believe. I stand to be corrected.
The reason the leaves are long and thin was due to the overfert which causes new leaves to present themselves in such a way.
The older leaves are huge Afghan Indica type.
As I said the buds stink of old school hashy, earthyness which points to it's Afghani roots.
As for the yield..... Yes it will yield well for it's strain!
When the overfert is sorted I'll show some more pics for you to argue over:comfort:

The initial smell is really sickly sweet but as you continue to inhale you get the nicest old school hashy scent permeating your nostrils.
It's like old afghani/kashmiri hash.
I haven't smoked it yet so I'll tell you about that after it's cured for a while.
1 plant yielded 4+ ounces from seed which is about right for the genetics.
I reckon that with the right training it will do a bit more.
That said, topping, pruning, FIM and LST will all work with this hardy little monster.
She took quite a beating as my test pilot and she came through with flying colours.
Not too stinky in a grow room until you squeeze the buds and it dries perfectly with no threat of mould etc.
I think I would like to try the violator kush next from Barneys.
I've had violator bubble hash and it was awesome!!
I do miss Stella Blue from a few years back and I can promise you that if you get the right Pheno she smells and tastes very similar.
It's like liquirice bubblegum spice with a hint of yes please.
