Ok guys i had/have root aphids...

very visible seen them crawling aournd attached to the roots.
treated the shit out of them with merit75(not actually merit but the active ingredient that merit75 is) looked like it whiped them out COMPLETELY!!

awsome im so excited. after i treat the plant the roots white hairs all died and roots didnt look good but two days later they EXPLODED all white hairs everywhere... SO im like cool.

check a plant that was treated today and i see NO nothing Nada not a bug not anything like that cant see shit on tons of plants nothing no bugs looks great except it looks like theyre are webs somethign i would normally say is beneficial bacteria. i use micor and humic acid and shit like that..

So is the webs root aphids or bene? wouldnt i see a bug? i picked apart the webs to look for bugs nothing...

Looks like mold. The root aphids leave a substance that they excrete on the roots. I am guessing that is what you are seeing, with mold starting on it.

I don't think "bennies" are that visible. It does kind of look like mold beginning to me, but you have a much better view.
You could test a small part with an antifungal and see what happens. The root aphids leave behind a substance that becomes food for mold.

i read up on root aphids and it said that they can create a webbing so i figured its from them... but i have not seen any so im confused.

it can also be a beneficial kind of mould , like Trichoderma mould ..imo if the roots are ok,
then don't do nothing..just wait and see how it goes ;)

Quote:

Root aphids in the genus Phemigus are being found with increasing frequency feeding on the root systems of herbaceous perennials. The first thing growers will notice is the white wax that looks like snow-flocking covering the root system. Root aphids tend to build up populations at the edge of rootballs. Female aphids give live birth to nymphs, and a clustering of aphids builds up on concentrated areas of the root system. Small populations are not a problem; however, when populations become high, the plants are reduced in vigor, and customers will definitely see the white wax.

Maybe you have this stuff.
