hey guys, just a REAL QUICK, DUMB question Im asking for piece of mind. I put a green light bulb in my grow room so I can work, change the res, and whatever else while the ladies are in the dark period. am I right in thinking that this wont affect the ladies AT ALL?? sometimes its on for an hour or 2, but its a really small, low wattage bulb in a regular house lamp, maybe 50 watts? there are no problems, I just wanna see what u guys have to say about it. the plants cant absorb/recognize green light, correct? should be good to go?

thanks fellas.

from what i've heard, you need a somewhat special green bulb for this purpose. I've read that just using green coated incandescents isnt enough.

I have a ceiling fixture in my bloom room, think i'll do the same thing for peaking at off hours!

I have read posts that the cheap green "party" cfl's at freddy's work, as they have thicker coatings. Anyone else chime in on that?

Maybe I am just too anal retentive however my room has zero light at night.

I tend to my garden when the lights are on. Simple and EZ.

^^^^^^same here, i just had a good friend put hella work into a garden that turned herm, either light leak or going in at lights out are some major reason for herm. I STAY OUT!!! just one less thing to worry about. And i really learned from my buddys F up.

I try to do the same...but isnt that the whole point of the green bulb? I figured it is basically non existant to the plants, just to our eyes. no?

I have read a lot of arguments both ways.
As jdizzel said it is one less thing to worry about.
