A moth on my window sill - worth a click

Does anyone know what kind of moth this is?

And we have a policy here at the house that our new friends should be shown some hospitality:

It stayed on the window for two days after we got it high.

realizing of course, since i could think of it, somebody's probably already done it, but...that could be an entertaining bee keeping method.

the buzzed bee marketing pitch is probably a winner, too ;)

That is a huge, strange looking moth, wings seem to small for the big body, cool bi wings on each side of it, maybe they help more then single wings.
Did you see it fly ever?

Isn't that the type moth they found in the "big girl's" throat in "Silence of the Lambs" ?

Yeah, we messed with it; it has huge bright blue eye spots with yellow "pupils" - very cool. It flew like a wasp that has been swatted down with a fly swatter but is alive and trying to get back in the air. I thought for sure it was going to hit the ground 10 feet under us.

Cannalcious not often do I slap pics in anothers thread but I thought I might get away with it this time as moth threads are few and far between..this is what I called a Stealth moth..no clue what it is really. Yours looks like its wings aren't stretched out or dried, as if it just came out of its cacoon...DD
