I was reading into it. From what I have gathered there is a hefty yield loss..so I did not want to attempt it....at least this way....so back to reading

I plan sometime to use a different carbon filtering method. I have never ran across any documented with BHO or cannabis for that matter so dont take my advice as gospel truth.

-I plan on using a BHO redissolved in some solvent (undecided right now, but I am thinking iso)
-grind carbon into a fine powder
-add SMALL amount of carbon directly to the flask and mix
-run the solution through coffee filters many times to collect carbon particles
-evap solvent
-any carbon that got by should sink to the bottom and should show up in a few days of leaving it in vials if you have not gotten all impurities out.

This way it allows me to fully expend the carbon, and not have all the excess carbon steal my product. But more so allow me freedom with how much I refine it. My goals are to try to gain a little bit of clarity, potency, and possible change the consistency slightly. I want minimal loss in flavor.

I plan on running some trials with carbon and ethanol on my next batch of oil for shits and grins.

I had an ISO2 years ago. One time I used Everclear and then ran the results through a bunch of aquarium charcoal. The product was a thick clear liquid with NO THC. I started with mostly fan leaves but should have gotten some kind of high.
:(
ISO2 used to sell an accessory for making honey oil. I went back to the head shop to get one but the feds had confiscated them in the meantime. Anyone remember what that accessory kit was?
