I have an issue that I think needs to be talked about.

I was reading the label on the jar of rooting solution that I use, and I noticed that it says of ortimental plants only and not to use it any edible plants.

So this has caused some consurns about using the rooting gel as some of the meds are use for internal use and edibles.

Ganoderma I would speculate to say that any of the solution you are using during early cloning or rooting is leached away or flushed from the plant and soil by watering during the growth cycle and long gone by the time flowering starts. Maybe someone could verify this for us, we'll see..DD

It all comes down to being safe instead of being sorry. I'd rather stop and think about an idea instead of just saying oh well and then going on as normal.

I never considered this ... I guess not needing a gel or solution to get my gear to root has saved me from possible harm?

I have never needed it.

When I started I would dip in seaweed extract I used as a supplement but ultimately found it unnecessary for my needs as well.

You do not need to use rooting gel or hormone to clone well. You can take cuts from your plants, scrape the bottoms a little with the razor blade and stick it in a cup of soil/coco. It takes a little longer than using a cloner or using a cloning/rooting additive, but it is pretty dummy proof and safe, since that is your concern here.

Some strains are more picky about rooting, and some are very easy breezy, which is also something to keep in mind. I hope this helps.
