Thx trichosaurus

i have just noticed that with the lowryders less is a LOT more

I normally use my own soilmixes , but the LR's never did grew very well on them

They grew pretty good on my weak mixes , but now i just use the universal potting soil without amending it and they grow real well , much bigger

actually it makes perfect sense just never knew they wanted soil that weak

i add dry shit once the first flowers start , of course it' is my own shit ;)(j/k)

The way you make those autoflowers grow is amazing man:) I'm in awe - did you start the seeds in the ground?

hey blackone

i always start my autos and other plants in cardboard bio degradable small pots like maybe an inch high and half an inch wide

as soon as they have popped and show one pair of leaves or as soon as i see a root poking out of the pot usually after days after germing , i transplant them to a hole in the ground with about 6.5 liters of soil per plant

This way you won't have transplantation stress because they aren't really transplanted , i just put the cardboard pot in the hole without taking the plant out.

To let em grow so fast i just use universal potting soil without any amendments , then, as soon as they start flowering after about 3-4 weeks , i add some dried shit

If your mix is too strong they will have dark green but small leaves , thinner stems , less branches and less yield
The weaker the soil the faster/bigger they grow

Nice - I suppose you're talking about those peat pots you showed pictures of in the start of the thread?
I heard some people saying they were too hard for the roots to penetrate but it seems to work pretty well with your plants.

Hey THC123,

Man, I read the whole thing in one sitting, but sure it's entretaining and informative.

I'm happy to read that you can finish AH and trainwreck at your lat. It really gives me hopes to try it at mine :D

You shouldn't worry about running out of herb after last years bumper harvest! It was a good one for me too, and I am happy to still enjoy it.

Good tip on the autos, I'll try with light soil next time. I'm growing a couple of LRs, a LR x Auto AK47 and a Danish hybrid with some auto phenos.

On Esbe's Bubba kush x Arne, expect some nice heavy stone. It was amongst my favs, specially before bed time.

Take care and happy guerrilla!

I'm gonna give this a try... If these really work then it would be such great news for outdoor autoflowers.

I've heard that the trick to allow for the roots to go thru is by not letting them completely dry, but THC night share more XP on that :smoke:

thx guys

@ browser thx 4 the heads up on the katsu bubba x arne, after seeing her fat indica leaves , this was the effect i was expecting

@ blackone and broswer
Well even though it isn't necessary , i always pregerm my seeds in a propagator with high humidity.

The soil also is moist , but not wet , and after about a week in the propagator i see a root poking out

But i also sometimes transplant without seeign a root poking out. But once you put them in the final spot , the peat will get so moist and weak that the roots will blast through

hehehe nah it's not worth the trouble , i still have my autoflowerers, my guerillia grow , my indoor tent and one giant plant at my buddies , that will do for me

here an update , just planted the 8th and last guerillia plant , the sssdhxb3

she has been at the plot in a pot for 5 days:D

it was late and i didn't feel like making a hole cuz it was raining so i waited till the weather got better

I'm happy i finally set up my main grow, i am also gonna set up a second patch , the patch that i used for the seedgrow last year.

The soil there isn't so bad , so there a 5 liter hole and topdressing of the area will do , i'm gonna plant em late there in 1-2 weeks so they stay really low

I still have to return to my guerillia spot to remove weeds(the annoying type not our weed) , to treat them preventively against mildew and against insects and then i'll leave them alone for a month

I'll return monthly to topdress the plants and to keep removing unwanted growht from other plants

Here are the pics , i just tied the plants horizontally as much as i could without breaking them

frisian dew , has been here for lile 2 weeks

And here the plants at mu buddies

img42574290340.jpg

img42584312010.jpg

img42594340695.jpg

this last one is for me , the smaller plants(there are 3 but i didnt take pics of em all) are danish gold and guerillia gold and have been topped and trained

the bigger plants are all frisians

they way it looks now , they will again yield a few pounds

i will choose the earliest , best and most mold resistant frisian as a mother
img42604370176.jpg

img42614387909.jpg

i dont know if you can see it on these pics, but my frisian is a mutant , and has a really strange branch and stem , only one branch is like this very weird very thick and hollow

I'm happy the frisians are going so well because i don't grow outdoors anymore at my place and i'm never 100% sure to be able to harvest my guerillia plants , so this frisian is really my only guaranteed harvest/stash

I pregrew the frisians on 17-7 light schedule in march and i put em outdoors on april 20th

still they began flowering and are now revegging

next year I'll install lights or something or just germ em later , one advantage is that the revegged plants will branch out liek crazy thus increasing the yield

they are now resetting themselves and the new leaves have 1/3 fingers

the frisian cutting i have on guerillia didn't start flowering , so i think with the frisian dew you have to put em out around may 15th to avoid flowering(only when started indoors)

@esben / thx , I'll try to make nice budshots of your babies(if noone steals or eats em:D)

@DB : yeah that big branch is weird , i'm worrying it won't be able to hold the weight as it is really weak

it is very wide but also very thin and when you touch it , it is spongy , never seen such a branch structure

@ BOM

thx , i just topped the plants once and i have just tied em horizontally , i haven't done any other trimming

img42400579746.jpg

Here a pic of the new ones

The middle 12 are manitoba meds for the seedgrow under my 250 watts lamp and the 2 outer 12packs are lowryder2 f2

I am now gonna plant lowryders in the empty spots where i removed the males some time ago. This way they can grow and by the time the now ones show sex , the 2 males will have been removed , thus avoiding pollination

In the spot where the lowryders , auto ak LR3 etc are having sex now , i'll try to finish my mother plants later in the season

all other lowryders will be put in a cornfield or somewhere in nature
