What's new

Croatia outdoor (lat. 45°)

Any suggestions for prototype 2 and 3 are welcome.

Location is small creek bordering National park. Water level seasonal fluctuation 10 -15 cm.
In creek stream and all around are fields of very aggressive reeds overgrowing any plant (reason why could not use bottom off ). I drilled lots of small holes, diameter 5mm and placed burlap as water wick.

Security and sunshine potential of site are excellent. Going to make 5 prototypes of creek perpetums.

Thx.

I think that lots of perlite + those hydro clay balls that hold water mixed into a good soil mix will do the job with minimum care. I think it's risky to grow so close to water.
Weather is tricky, volcanos erupt, earthquakes, remember the floods last year?
Maybe you should dig some extra holes somewhere not so close to a creek?
Just my :2cents:

Spot 2: swamp tubes at creek flow

Spot 2: swamp tubes at creek flow

At moment, there are 5 tubes with different holes diameters/soil mix/strains inside (two whites, one lemon, two sativas) in evaluation process.

Only one tube with fish inside (Gungi Grow) as we eat other animals with no guilty but lot of vine watering

Spot 3. Island/coastal Mediterranean easy sativa grow

Spot 3. Island/coastal Mediterranean easy sativa grow

Visit dalmatian/island spot start with surprise.

This is oldest and most secure spot until this spring, as one Brit came very close with brand new ugly house (app. 50m) to our olives garden.

As young pour babies need total peace we put just half of Amsterdam shopping - another half will wait results of creek/swamp grow and negotiating with new neighbor.

Our spot is now in visual scope of richie novou.

Decide to put half of sativas babies in pots behind olivas as we do know nothing about new neighbors and what future brings (last year reserve is strong smoke).

May bee fine cockney Londoners want to watering sometimes?

Hi brothers, hope you are still live and growing!

I am back now, after two years.

Missed, season 2010 - harvest report:
- spots at river bank and adriatic island harvested by others (hunters, tourists or...)
- swamp site was amazing - but more in quantity than quality (enough for two years)
--
So, this year will growing only in swamp with different approach.

Old perpetum tubes but very easy and using Darvins rules.
Sowed directly in soil, now, it is third round.
Weather is nice here and hope will be happy story.
Strains are mostly native domaćica (island vis origin) and some grains from 2010 harvest.

Hey cro guerilla
Wish you best of luck with this project!
I hope your spots will make their jobs for you and for yours!

I see a lot of water down... don't you afraid about it? Sometimes summer brings some rains... here in my country. Maybe Croatia is different... yes it is but in swamps...

About Easy Sativa... I feel there are better choices for you latitude but here you are... post of polish grower: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=4929917&postcount=176

Greetings from PL :joint:

Need some advice for next seed round.
Want to buy some sativa strains in Slo or Austria and will listen advice of experience brothers growers.
Which one is optimum for this climate and need a low maintaince in swamp growing?

Pls., strain not must be feminised, consider price/value (as global crisis hit my pocket a lot).

Links to growers shops in Central/East Europe are welcome.

Thx.

Thx zielonylasss, my polish brother.
This link is helpfull and promising, also I found to know reading Polish. Dziękuję!

There are lots of water as it swamp area. No need watering at all and relative good soil mean no needs for fertilisers (on small islands only - on other places are swamp tubes with domestic compost, fertiliser and mackerle at bottom). Ideal place for lazy medical grower.
Water level are practically same all year round - it mean, only come in preflower and harvest time.

Inovation for this year is that I mixed grains of nettles with sativas:
