Phresh filters kick major arse...yes they are not phat, but they still work very well
Actually the current Phat filters on the market now are not the same as the original ones. The people who brought out Phat filters originally didn't trademark the name and someone else did in the mean time (you can look up the trade marks to see who it is). Then that company went after wholesalers and stores who where selling the filters in the US. Eventually the original company droped the name and I think they went with Dragon filter or GP filter name. Now the original Phat filters that came out about 7 years ago where pretty good and kicked ass on the Can Filters but eventually they started putting in less charcoal into them and their scrubbing abilities went down.
If you want the original Phat filters go with Mountain Air Filters. It has the same charcoal but still retains more charcoal inside the can like the original ones.
Most of those filters are manufactured in Indonesia with charcoal from Australia. I believe the original Phat and the Mountain Air where made by the same manufacturer but sold under different names.
Who Cares man? This guy is asking if phresh filters are any good...the answer is YES they are. One needs not care if they were copied or whatever. I've had about every major brand of filter on the market (have a mountain air right now I use in veg) and Phresh is the best I've had.
What's up with it using so much less carbon? I kinda like my carbonaire 4" & 6". I am afraid to mount the 6" because it is so heavy, and that's the way it should be.
I want some heavy-ass, stub-your-toe-on carbon filter in my grow room.
I went from carbonaire to Phresh and had the same concern. They both performed the same. The phresh is so much smaller, I'm sold. What's up with it using so much less carbon? I kinda like my carbonaire 4" & 6". I am afraid to mount the 6" because it is so heavy, and that's the way it should be.
