Well i thought i would blow off the dust on the 'ol jem thread. I harvested that little lady, i was really impressed with the flavor (sour pears with cinamon sandle wood untertones). The high was very nice too, i was smoking some kush at the same time so i can't say for certain how "good" it really was until i do a smoke run. No pics of her harvest sorry.

So, on to the new ones. I'll bring everyone up to speed since i haven't updated with baby pics. It's obvious my relationship with the JEMS is one of extremes. I had the smallest auto i've grown last run, this time the biggest. Of the 10 seeds from this pack i got 2 females. There was nothing to affect the ratios.. Don't really care. it happens. The 2 ladies i have are interesting in their own rite.

Lets tell the story with some pics shall we?
This lady is going to be large, i haven't had an auto bush out like this, call it previous bad luck, but this thing is going to yeild nicely!


She also has some leaf deformities, hard to describe really. The side 3 fingers are on a stem of their own.. Some leaves show it some not. This lady also has more fingers per leaf than all other autos i've grown.



Now for the REAL mutant, this one decided to top itself almost right out of the shoot. Really bizzar. I also had a ducks foot looking leaf on one of the males.. No pics as he was culled with the other not so fast growing males.




That's all i have this time, I will keep everyone updated on these 2 until finish. The bigger one is sort of showing color indicators so maybe she'll turn some colors.

Quick question...
Do you and the Boss both smoke..and if so..
do you both get the same effect...?

Wow takes me for ever to reply some times, funny you mention this. I never thought different types would affect men/women soo differently.

She needs indi dom plants to smoke. Even with some of the best silver haze i have smoked, it just didn't do it for her. Some thing to the CBD's in the indi's.. She also doesn't respond well to opiate based pain killers.. They don't have as good affect as non opiate pain killers.

Trust me her doctors get frustrated with it.

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF IT!!!! lol. I am used to finished autos ending up around this size. I can't wait to weigh this baby once she is done!!! Every male i got was worth it to find this one.. I also can't wait to get some beans from her.

She is somewhere between 30 and 40 days, same age most AF's go into flower. I have a bad habit of not keeping track of sart dates.

by the time you finish this grow they will have taught you all they know and you will be an AF Expert.

Mossy: They sure do look similar, i thought the same thing when you posted that pic in another forum. That one looks a little more sati than the pheno i have now, but very similar structure for sure. I can't wait to smoke her, she has that pungent fresh pot smell allready.

She is going good and strong, 2 inches growth from my last post. I gave her a watering of bubbled worm castings/compo and kelp, with some big bud. I also put her into the flower room as she isn't going to work in the veg chamber any longer.

She is pollenated a bit with some JEMS, but i might do a few branches with my Auto assasin male. He had a very similar size and structure, these 2 would make a great couple i think.

That IS a JEM trait.
I call it the Cloven Leaf.
1 main stem..splits into 2 an you normally get 3 fingers on each side..?

I rolled it and rolled it back in non-af to try to suss it..
and it comes back to a girls with mainly 1 finger leaf at the top..
and 3 fingered leaf for the main fans.
Still on the a-symetric..not a Typical leaf.
The bud turned slightly greyish..instead of white
and the Bud turned Greasy....instead of tacky.
If you brushed by it it was like someone Slurping your hand...

Never did get her placed in the ancestory of the cross..
BUT..I loved the greasy bud..
so I put her back to AF.

Fairy Lights..from last season.

It doesn't seem to affect bud/taste/effect..and is actually very Rare..so I thought it was worth including.

Yeah..can't wait to see the bud fatten...
they are normally very fat..very white and provide beautiful contrast with the dark green leaf.
