How many people here wear them? I went from "presribed readers" to no line bifocals,in less than three years.Middle age rules.:):):):)

Mine Changed Totally

My vision was always nearsighted since about age 10. Now at 53, I can no longer see up close, but my distance vision is almost perfect again. So, I usually have reading glasses around my neck since my arms got really short! :)

Went to a graduated lens last year after daily headaches from TV and computer.
However, my prescription is getting weaker every two years which is a nice feature.

i've got some neeto glasses that are prescription and get dark when it's sunny- but after a day or so they hurt my nose. been wearin contacts since i was 16 but about 2 hours after eating my nightly cookie they get dry and blurry (cottoneye)- kinda sucks. my buddy got the surgery a couple years ago with no side affects, i'm still chicken but reaaly thinking about it..??

Yeah, it's hard not to be chicken, what if you are that 1 in 1000 that has complications? On the other hand... my former "mother in law" got Lasik on both eyes at the age of 93! ! ! ! It really was funny when we had family get-togethers after that, she was the Only one NOT wearing glasses!

I had lasik 15 years ago and it was worth every cent. Not having my damn glasses fog up when I come inside from the cold, diving, downhill skiing and not sticking contacts in my eyeballs = freedom.

Been wearing them since I was 8. They're part of my identity now. Couldn't see myself without them. Thought about having Lasik, but decided that I like wearing my specs. Tried contacts in High School, but I have a weird focus and it was hard to find a brand that could accommodate me. Also contacts always bothered my eye's.

definitely put off wearing them, the more you wear them the worse your eyes become. Over 40 eyes do suck
so f'n true. Readers suck big time my close up vision went worse after a year of using them. I still have 20/40 vision, I feel lucky to have passed my flight exam 2 weeks ago, still good to fly for another 2 years.

I wear cheaters for reading & likely need some distance glasses as well but won't get them cause I'm afraid I'll lose that 'squint eastwood' bad ass look.......
