Sorry about all the questions everybody but this is a learning experience for me and I want to get it right.

Dont sweat it bro...its the only way to learn.

I agree with the KING as well. You dont need an intake fan. Just be sure to size the intake hole correctly...about 2x the size of your exhaust. See this excellent thread. Its not a simple matter to "stack" the fans. There must be a spacer between them.

Keep at it,

Get a bunch of pics of the exhaust system, including the filter. Ill think of something lol. Or you could get a higher cfm fan.

Hey you see how I have the exhaust fan on the inside of the box connected to the filter. Could I just put the other fan on the outside of the box in the same spot? It would be two fans stacked on top of each other with the wood in the middle. I could just use one long screw and not even drill new holes. Other then to make a bigger intake hole.

Its hard to tell from the pics but both holes are on the left side of the box. The intake fan is about 6" from bottom and the exhaust is about 6" from top. Let me know if you need more info.

Ok so you have 2 options, 1.) get a more powerfull fan. Use it for exhaust and remove the intake fan. Then cut 2 or 3 more intake holes. 2.) get a y connector for your filter, put it where all the ducktape is, the cut another hole next to the exhaust fan, and mount the fan your using for intake next to the exhuast fan. connect to Y adapter so both fans are pulling air through the filter. Then cut 2 or 3 new intake holes

Also I would make a light trap for the intake holes, for stealth and keep the plants from starting to veg again because of light leaking in. You can use 2 pvc elbows for each hole.

I was looking at my options and I can get a round 6" fan 235 CFM from growco for 50 bucks or fork out more dough for the canfan that goes with filter for over 100. For now should I remove the intake fan? It sucks! I only need to lower 5 dagreess I wish there where a better way.

I'm staring at the pic you posted showing the scrubber. Nice job.

Also you mentioned that the fans were 142 CFM. Do you know how much air they will move under restriction like the scrubber?

I think mounting your intake fan to the outside of your exhaust is a worthwhile experiment. Are the PLL ballasts mounted outside the cab?

I was at the GROW CO web site looking at fans and the ones I bought are only 112 CFM. I told them the size of my box and they said two of these would be fine, they also told me to use one for intake and one for exhaust. so much for that. My two wh 5's are mounted to the back of the box.

I have 2 6" 235cfm fans and theyre pretty loud compared to the 4" pc fans. But they move ALOT more air compared to the 4" pc fans, I dont care what the pc fans are rated at they dont move shit for air.

Try lowering your temps in the room the box is in.

Cfl king my fans are not pc fans. 4.5 inch fans from GROWCO, I didn't want wire pc fans. Clearly it's not enough though

How many watts and amps are they? I have a feeling their basicaly just pc fans sold by growco. The 4" pc fans I got are 4w .38amp. But the 6" 235cfm fans 27w .23amps, so even though the 6" fans are only rated around double the cfm they use alot more power and push alot more under load.

Wow thats a horrible output for how many watts they use. I got my 6" fans from bghydro.com there $9 more than at that web site but I can vouch that they are very powerfull fans and to be honest I think they are under rated in cfm.
