There seems to be the common theme of people not knowing their rights and the police overstepping theirs.

Awesome unintentional cover story. I agree with other posters, this would be a good deterrent (although I don't know how well it would work if cops are already in your house, why are they there anyway?).

You could put a big sign on a closet:
Do not let my snake out again!
With a picture of the largest legal-to-own snake.

Hopefully the "again" implies to whoever reads it that the snake was let out accidentally at least once, with negative consequences.

Should deter at least landlords or random passers-by, although I think the main goal should to be not to have random people that close to it anyway.

As for me, the best unintentional cover I have had was my cats. I had a girl in my bedroom who was allergic, when she woke up in the morning her nose was stuffed up so much she couldn't smell anything. Normally this wouldn't have even been a problem, but I had unplugged my carbon scrubber the night before since the sound could have drawn her attention.

Whenever any friends would come over the normal protocol would be light incense, unplug carbon scrubber, lock door.

In my observational experiences (reading about power consumption leading to busts in AMERICA i know it a bit different in CANADA) its theft of power use or someone is ratted out by an informant, they use that information as probable cause to check your power records and once again in MY HUMBLE OPINION they are going to come in most likely regardless.

I would love to know how many people truly got busted simply for high power use

I have neighbors with heated pools and 3-4 teenage kids that have 500-800 monthly bills regularly and they do not even smoke pot let alone grow it

I built a false back to a closet and it was not detected and survived appraisals, relatives, guests and court appointed inspections

if you have negative pressure so no air escapes and some other animals like cats, dogs and other animals in the same area that will be reason for police dogs to act agitated

they may smell oils or resins that will build up in the area due to traffic but other animals coupled with an embedded room may be help

I heard sage is very good for disturbing a dogs scenting capacities, perhaps there are other things that can be used to disrupt the dogs scent

Dont let anyone see your res tank. My neighbor saw it when I was moving stuff into the garage and told his Dad he thought I was cooking meth. Neighbors Dad tells his cop buddies. They sit on my house for about a week (Texas DPS is obvious as hell when they investigate you), I clear stuff out after about two days of noticing the crown vick parked across the street, they raid my house a week after I clean out. Busted in my door, threw a flash bang in front of me, and I somehow ended up on the ground in cuffs with 3 officers pinning me down yelling "STOP RESISTING!". They find about 2 grams of shwag in my Dad's room but nothing else illegal. They take my computers and a filing cabinet in my garage. Had a guy go through our phones. Whole ordeal lasted well over 4 hours even though we were completely cooperative. They write me a ticket for my Dad's weed (couldnt have him get a ticket for a raid caused by me). We file a civil suit for the damage caused, get an out of court settlement the next day for a very reasonable sum.

1. Lay flat on the ground with your hands on your head.
2. Cover your eyes. That flashbang really fucked me up. It doesnt just blind you but it makes your brain scrambled for a good minute.
3. Dont go to the door because apparently that is resisting and you'll get thrown into shit.

Lol good tips. If they kick in your door its always best to drop where you are with your hands somewhere obvious. If they are kicking in the door already, your probably not going to have time to hide anything anyway (unless you have it in your hand in a locked backroom with a toilet full of water and ready to flush...) so don't risk getting shot trying to move around the house.

It went very well for me. I had to complete an 8 hour Marijuana Edjucation class for the ticket to be dismissed, so I spent 8 hours calling out every bit of disinformation the government calls truth. I was actually surprised my teacher signed my certificate. Charge was dismissed and now I realize I cant trust any of my neighbors. Growing simply cannot be done where I am. The police will bust you for heresay and lie to the judge to get search warrants. They will fuck your shit up for the sheer joy of it. If you havent been raided, keep trucking.
