just a quick question. i just found out i have a mite issue today. i think i remember you saying you advocate floramite...what rate per gallon do you use it? should i mix up a 10 gallon batch and dunk them? thanks ahead of time.

hi fella i grow in hydro using bubblers and you have proper over fed your plants this will inevetibaly affect your yield due to stressing out the plants i always find it better to under feed than over feed in bubblers less is more with this method of growing

fwiw the hid plant is drooping because of the ambient heat of the water in the enclosed space of a dr80 tent with a 400watt bulb in it; the plant had grown to the top of the glass and u can see the burn on the tip; that's from the light
i'm not planning on flowering these out; i was mainly interested in seeing how the led penetrated... if you look at the pic of the stem u can see the small new growth and its doesn't appear to be lacking lumens.

yeah cheers optic appreciate the feedback but cfl vs hps its a bit of a no brainer as to which 1 is gonna out perform still doesnt change the fact you over nuted ya plants it was just an observation from my experience

hey opt1c very nice!! sux theyre stressin its all good tho they are pretty big you should still yield decent. i watched your video the other day,very clean and organized. I likes,and i cant wait til i can afford one of those LED panels,iv been lurking in a few of these test and im really liking the results and this hydro is just the same if not better...
had a thought on this side by side hydro set up,if you plan to give it another shot after this grow, i was thinking if you run the same strain couldnt you just do a 2 bucket RDWC? with a res and pumps you wouldnt have to worry bout water levels or how stable the PH/PPM is right? and it would be a little more fair in the name of side by side hydro yeah?

If you want to test the light then you need to reduce all the other variables to a minimum, like the genetics. To test lights in that setup you would need four clones to stand any chance of getting meaningful results. Because it's such a small sample size, the results would only have validity if the differences between the two sets of plants were huge.

sure whatever armchair cowboy.... talk out ur ass till ur blue in the face i don't care... plants were underfed and stressed to hell and back... if that equals over feeding.... i think i fed em 3 times over a month in dwc.... i guess u should stay under 300ppm in dwc not to overfeed the plants but whatever... it's bad advice like this spouted off with self-rightoueous assurance in how right you are that makes these internet forums a joke and why i always need PICS before i listen to anything anyone has to say
thing is i really don't care enough about doing a side by side in 2 2x2ft areas to cut all the holes in my tents to make plumbing a rdwc setup possible... space is already at a premium and the tubing, epicenter, and whatnot needed to link the two units would have destroyed the tents or destroyed my vertical heights
it'd be a lot easier to do in 4x4 tents but you'd need $$$ to buy a led light large enough or enough smaller leds to cover that 4x4 area
it'd probably be easier to monocrop if ur doing a side by side with a strain you're familiar with
the grow is over.... plants weren't flowered out as there would have been no room in the tents for the plants and if i topped them the trolls woulda been like the test is invalid yada yada yada.... basically all this test shows is that you're a fool to run a 400 watt in a 2x2tent and deserve what u get if u decide on doing so and that the led light can penetrate to the bottom of the plant in veg
i'm keeping myself busy playing with over 70 different phenotypes of assorted strains... double strawberry diesel, sour bubble, grape punch, blue kush, lifesaver, og#18, jack herer, and some sweet tooth #3 x grape krush... took over all the hydro stuff... that stuff is in the garage waiting for the keepers... still siting on a grip of my chemhaze x sourd i harvested last go so no need for production at the moment
la con, green crack, casey jones, and sour grape cali clones r in the mom stable as well
