Having problems with red eyes- visine not cutting it

Hi all, smoking some pretty good meds lately and visine just not working. Last night it looked like my eyes were infected/sick and I tried 5-6 drops visine in each eye but my veins were still just large and in charge. Often when I medicate I have to be around people and really, my eyes just look like I'm stoned and it's a little bit of a problem.

I noticed the brand Clear Eyes has a maximum redness relief formula so I might try that and since they seemed to be so dry and red I might try a lubricant with it.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

2 words-------------Clear Eyes--------------always for me, since being much younger, much younger

Visine is great if ya've been swimming

The active ingredient I prefer is Naphazoline.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naphazoline

It can be found in the very expensive "Naphcon B" or in the normal priced "Bouch & Lomb Advanced Eye Relief - Redness" drops, in addition to other random ones.

Look for "Naphazoline Hydrochloride" between 0.012% and 0.025%

This chemical owns the others, imo.

Lets give the poster above some props too, that Opcon-A is like 0.03% Naphazoline :D

Best Eyedrops I've EVER used.
I've tried Clear eyes, Visine, perscription, and almost all other brands. Rohto V - GREEN is the best.

You don't need to go with anything stronger than the green. Blue or white will burn like hell and are a bit overkill.
Eye drops work by contracting your blood vessels. It's best not to overuse them or use ones that are too strong for your needs.

there are these things you can get from your eye doctor. if you go there and keep complaining about dry eyes over and over. they will put covers on the exit part of your tear ducts. so your eyes will always be nice and moisturized. never red. its a minor procedure.

I would not recomend that procedure.. My had a legitimate reason to get that procedure and she's had several problems with it.
When she had the ducts blocked her eyes were often over-watery and it looked like she was crying. When she has them out her eyes are constantly dry.
I'd stick with eye drops over any type of procedure/surgery

If you actually have dry eyes then it is probably alright - talk to your doctor about it.
Its when your eyes are already naturally moist that you're eyes will go over the top. Her eyes are quite sensitive so I'm not sure how it will work person to person. Consult your physician though - I'm not a doc :)

Hey, I bought some Clear Eyes and it worked magnificently compared to Visine. My veins were much smaller and eyes were pretty well white. All in all enough to look very functional and throw off suspicion. It is 2 for 1 at my area Walgreen's this week so I'll stock up. Also, nice to see some of the other red eye meds mentions I didn't know about. I'll look for some of those eventually also to see if an improvement but still happy for now with Clear Eyes.

What's the best lubricant you have found for dry eyes, especially when you are on meds? I wear contacts and have only used Walmart's knock-off for @ $4 an ounce. So I can keep my eyes nice and white now but would like to find a premium lubricating drop that works well.

Thanks.

Screw what people think about my eyes I go natural and
besides I'm perpetually stoned, my eyes just look that way.

Bausch & Lomb! I used to get B&L green but can't find it anymore. Any BL redness reliever will do it. I have OpconA now since I didn't see my good old B&L Green.

And if you think there's no such thing as too white.....you're wrong. My parents knew used to know if I was stoned because of how fucking white my eyes were! I could never win......
