lime in water

hey guys, my plants have a calcium def and need to get the calcium ASAP. I have a bunch of pelletized lime and was wondering how much to add to your water before watering it? Im growing in soil outdoors. Thanks!

I don't think lime will work for a fast fix, especially if its palletized. It takes a bit of time to break down. pulverized lime would work best (at about 1 Tbs/gal). but well raise PH as well, perhaps raise it to much. A cal mag supplement would be the quickest fix.

hope that helps.

Put the pelletized lime on your lawn.

After you're done, take a trip to the grocery store and get some Organic Blackstrap Molasses. Add one tablespoon per gallon of water for your next scheduled waterings... There should be enough calcium and mag to get you through flowering.

Next grow, source some pulverized dolomite lime- it's very inexpensive, get the 40lb. bag for about 5 bucks and mix it right into your soil mix at two tablespoons per gallon of soil- it will buffer the soil toward pH 7 and supply the necessary cal/mag in proper proportions- killing two birds with one (lime)stone...
