BrotherGanja,

At least 2 more weeks...Best to wait my friend! I know its tough.

Beans4theladies,

How do you take such close digital shots? With a digi microscope or with a digi camera on macro setting? I'm very interested in buying a new gadget to take sick macro shots so anyone can chime in on the best way to do so.

whose pineapple express is that? if thats ours (the kush brothers) then id let her go another week depending on pheno. those pictures make me say another week, but sometimes that extra week "waters" down the pineapply flavor and it gets more mango/bubblegummy. take you a few tester buds and cut her down in a week and then youll know which flavor u perfer. looks GREAT by the way, i wanna nominate that first picture for PICTURE OF HTE MONTH!!

Yeah, depends on how you like your stone, the longer you let it go, the stonier it will be.
But if you like it more cerebral, anytime would work, because it looks quite nice.
But you can usually tell better by looking at the trichomes.

Thanks all for all your insight. I want to keep it going as long as I can cause I want it to be pretty stoney. But on the other hand I have some patients that need meds soon, SO???
I think Iam going to meet in the middle and wait till thurs and chop her down, that is almost a week. Thanks again all for everything.

You can't really be sure how ripe it is until you also consider the state of the trichomes. Personally I don't like the very high powered scopes and it doesn't take a whole lot of magnification to properly identify. This chart may help you out a bit but experience is the best tool with both identifying and working with the variety.

That's probably a good idea.

Depending on how many plants you're growing you might want to consider either increasing the number of your plants (to give you a little more leeway between harvests) or put a couple plants into your flower room every week or two so that you have a staggered harvest.

The Pineapple Express is a 10 week strain! I just finished up a huge run my nugs looked the same around 8 weeks go all the way you will not be disappointed :)

Thank you everyone whom voted or gave advice it truly helped in making the decision when to harvest these ladies. Despite all the voices saying 2 weeks I only could go 1 week. But the meds were still amazing quality. I couldn't get the best picture of trichs on my camera but they were alright. Here are some up close shots of her right before she came down.

Don't forget that there's nobody holding a gun to your head over harvesting a whole plant at once.

If parts of the plant are ready and others aren't, go ahead and harvest the ready parts so then the plant's attention turns to maturing the remaining buds.

This also spreads the trim job out over more days so you're not so pressured to get so much done all at once.

Hey thanks for sharing my friends these plants got harvested on week 9 exactly and they turned out pretty good. Wish I would have let them go. Oh Well trial and error. all is still bueno.
