It's an effect that does only happen to the tops of the buds, and it doesn't really affect the rest of the plant. Anything at 6" away or closer, will be receiving a hefty amount of micromoles, and therefore can be driven to the light saturation point (although the IR LED's cause the bleaching more-so than that). The light fades quite rapidly from 6-12", so any buds even 6" down from the tops are not at their LSP. So raising the panel a little might help the tips of your buds, but they aren't the only ones you're growin
I tend to raise em in my own garden anyhow lol.

LEdGirl, the few that it happened to I tucked back down in the screen. I haven't seen more since. There is that back bud that refuses to be good, it is like 1 " away from the light but it's not bleaching...

When I was thinking earlier how much of the screen legs I would cut off man I was battling myself, I wanna be close to that light! I forgot that I can lower the light!! I will cut like 6" off and see how that does me.
The new divider wall will be a 2 step process,1 height at about 2 inches above the screen, then one at about 7" above the screen. Tha will be the 2 heights I run it on.
when I get 2 units in there I will have to turn them sideways. they will be so close to the wall "about 1/2 inch" that just gluing the feather boa on the sides should work. the long way there will be about 2" on each side of the units.
Anyhow, Seems like the lights footprint reaches the full 20" of my cab even with the unit sideways. So once I turn it, I am really going to be bouncing alot of side light back into the canopy. With such a small canopy I really depend on my mylar..
Wonder what my Light saturation would be since alot of the footprint is kinda gonna get doubled over??

OK well, dang these things seem close to done but I am still not sure, Lots of the buds are at different stages!
Some are 100% orange hairs, some 75% orange, some 50 - 50 and even some mostly white.
I am really hoping I hit the medium point next weekend but i dunno.
I was watching a grow with this same strain from Scrogger man and he waited 12 weeks 5 days to harvest!!
Either way, next weekend or the one after that I will be chopping them!
I still think I could of done alot better about the bud sizes, but after talking with LedGirl a bit I have a few more growing techiques I'd like to apply to my setup. Also I need to put both my 126w units in there. same layout just 252 watts of led not 126...
Maybe I will test it with just one penetrator again but well see. I bet with these new ideas I am gonna try I could get alot of buds outta that single unit. When I have 2 I think I will kind of waste the power a bit by overlaying the light footprints so much. Gotta do it though cause my canopy size is set in stone, literally.. well block anyhow.
I think I will get the potato sized buds I was looking for next time around!!
What do you guys think, 1 week or 2 tell I cut them dooooooooown????

Hey Bomba, well the actual cab I wont be doing to much more work to but my growing techniques are whats changing next time around. I also have considered making a low pressure areo system in each 5 gal bucket there too, but not this time.
Q I saw that thread, I think I have been doing this by nature but I am defiantly a strong believer. Didn't really know you could take it that far but looks good!!
Thanks everyone else for your compliments!! Makes it worth trying to get these damn pics! Can't wait to chopem n get them outta the cab to see really all that I got!!

Get out your magnifying glass! I tend to cut earlier than later. Plants stay alive after you chop 'em for a little bit... kinda like a chicken with its head cut off.

Hey all, well I chopped them, gonna piss around and post up a ton of pics tonight. they seemed nice n ready!!
Anyhow, Whats up hoot. No I haven't cloned under my 126 but If I would here's what I'd do:
First cut your clones and set the light at 15", then after like 7 days lower it down to 12". Leave it just like that until they have enough roots to transplant. any closer, the clone will start to grow and without roots it ends up killing itself, it's not heat stress.
If you see your clone growing in the first week back it off a bit. Me personally I clone with a very small cfl, smaller than a light bulb. But I only need 4 clones here n there.
then once transplanted I would keep the light like 4-5 inches away..
HGL says 6-12 but I like to push it to the limit.
