I have been around the block when it comes to nutes. Here is my current regimen:

It's just a modified lucas.

Lucas base. GH 2 part Micro/Bloom
With
Kool Bloom
Cal Mag
and Superthive as needed

Bud XL 2 weeks prior to flush

PH 6.5
PPM 900 - 1200 depending on stage

Do you use any synthetic nutrients?

Sorry for the long answer... I guess i could have just said 'Yes'

My consolation to this has been a long hard flush with RO

just a little update. just past 3 weeks now so the stretch should be over. time to see how they fill out...

i know that there is not a lot of traffic over here in vert but i'm going to continue posting up updates, if nothing less to increase my own learning once this grow is done. I have always felt that the journal was a valuable tool when growing and the online journal is that much better. Sharing your grow, getting tips and advice from other growers, scurrying off the occasional troll... it's all part of the fun.

In all seriousness though. You learn a lot by reviewing your grow after it is complete, especially from the pictures.

So, on to the pictures.

3 weeks, water / feed today. Upped PPM to 1000 (from 0, RO)
PH 6.5
Cranked CO2 from 1450 to 1550
did some minor maintenance but the trim and tie back from last week seems to be taking hold really well and i don't expect much more will have to be done since the stretch is finito'

First, the leaves are green as can be. A picture of health. And i will say one thing, when growing vert the leaves really do make a WoW (Wall of Weed)


its a jungle in there... harder to work in than a flat garden because of the height and amt of vegetative matter, but maybe that a good thing. Maybe next time is should use a more squat growing variety like Red has. (although my next grow will likely be a M.I.L.C. finding mission)


and finally, i am not convinced yet about the vert style yet, prob a few more grows before i know for sure, but if these nodes fill out...
this will be one hell of a harvest. Time will tell.

You know what I just realized you started out horizontally before going vertical right? you went vertical when you started flower? I hear you need to go vertical from day 1 so the plants are used to that style from day 1, again just what I heard

I was considering a 400 w HPS or maybe CMH. I tested both, the CMH runs cooler and produces more triches, but HPS yields more. A 400 vert in a tent is definitely a good option.

i have heard mixed results related to that. I decided to go flat for veg because i heard someone say that they they tried vegging vertically and would not do that again. I guess more tests are in order. It would be nice to not have to keep switching the set up between flat and vert every grow.

damn right i need a new tent. at least a 5' x 5', but i am thinking of a 4' x 8'. Maybe once i move. And i need one of those sick subpanels you have!

Yea I kinda have the same feeling too, If anything the last week you veg them maybe veg them vertically for the last week so they can get all setup in their groove as in growin towards the bulb, just so they arnt wasting time doing that in flower...there is no scientific evidence to back this up lol it just sounded logical.

I don't have any experience w/ any of those strains so I don't have any idea about their height, potency, or yield, pest/mold resistance. I will say that the top 3 that seem most enticing to me by name are as follows:
1)Cinderella 99 (pineapple phenotype) YUMMY!
2)San Fernando Valley OG Kush (the next best thing to come out of san fernando valley besides porn)
3) G13 (Ever since the movie American Beauty, I have always been curious about this strain.)

i am working to get more info on the g-13 as we speak... not sure what i have here. my guess is that its likely the Airborne cut which is g13 x nl that neville did way back. Hopefully i will find out soon.

Also, the Sac cut I am told is the most true OG from all the variants that are flooding the market right now. I am looking forward to seeing that one grow out too.

Like i said Cindy and SFV are stellar for sure. Totally different but both heads of their class in their own way.

Yeah bro, new tent sound good, once you move, give me a holla and i'll help you build a subpanel for ya really liking the way your gals look man

And bout the g13, i have grown them out many times, from the A to P cuts, and from my own experiences i can tell you that the true G13 cut is amazing, either A or P.

Super fast growing strain, super forgiving and it will kill any bugs come near it ( due to the crazy sticky ickky trich ) The smoke is fantastic, will lock you down on ya couch for hours and hours on end. Smell like pine lemony, once cured for more then a month, it will smell ripen melon/lemon. The strain also have killer color too lol, purple ish + hue + lime green.

I have a few pics in my album if you want to check em out, they could've been a lot better. just to give you an idea

Red, Killer description on that G-13. Makes me wish i had one about to finish right now.. or more so i should say one that finished about a week ago. I'll be keeping a special eye on her in a few weeks when her time to shine comes. It's going to be a tough contest to win that's for sure. Whatever does not make the cut (as well as the ones that do) i will be passing to the med community for safe keeping. And someday i would like to do a full fledge seed run. Find 1 awesome male and just keep him in the flowering room with 20 (22 actually) different females and just let him RIP.

Basically that dream is why i had to downgrade to the 600w from the 1000w. I needed a few watts for cloning, veg ect... and i still have overflow to my girl's house. girlie. Anyways, that's why i might have to really hit u up on making that subpanel. I have an electrician friend that can hook it up too. All in due time.

The way this season is going over in the Outdoor forum i might have to find me some land and a greenhouse. If you all want to see some sick grows checkout the Outdoor Forum for ROOTWISE, Humboltlocal, Planty and others. If you want to see what these guys did last year i suggest Humboltlocals 2009 Grow Log. Top Fucking Notch.
