Magnesium deficiency? Pics

I am using 6 parts FFOF, 2 parts worm castings, and 2 parts perlite. They have only been fed plan water. I am at 2 weeks flower and not sure if its a nitrogen or magnesium deficiency. The whole plant is green but this is slowly spreading upwards on the fan leafs.

Not too worried but I want to take care of this before it get outta control.

Thanks :tiphat:

FFOF seems to always produce a cal/mag def. I used it for a while unitl I realized you HAVE to add dolomite lime, after I did that, my pot became great....I dont use FFOF anymore, alot cheaper to make your own soil....dont be scared to make that jump, I was hesitant at first, but a year later, Im happy I did....

The yellowing on the bottom of the leaves is not a big deal, aslong as it doesnt get up in the middle of the plant.....if its just one or two fan leaves at the bottom dont sweat it....
I remove that shit anyways.....If it dont get light, remove it....I usually trim leaves and branches, or small scraggly shit. But yellowing leaves at the bottom of the plant, no biggie in my opinion. When it spreads you have a prob. Maybe she needs abit of nitrogen.

yes its most definitely a much better deal to make your own soil. that way you can put some love in it. lol
so ive heard that FF does has some dolomite lime in it, but how much? and in my opinion, that looks more like a nitrogen def.

If you can get some dolomite you can dilute it to a certain extent and apply it that way, failing that you can get some Epsom Salts and apply to your medium at 5 grammes (a teaspoon full) per 5 litres water/nutrient, it will ensure you don't have any trouble throughout this grow and then start adding Dolomite next time.

I agree IntotheUnknown.......I know FFOF has oyster shell in it for PH...but i dont know how much...i do know that alot of people including me had major issues with PH in late flower....

Making your own soil is the way to go....i think it scares people sometimes...but The very first time I did it, It worked great without a prob.......and literally you can make 10 times the soil that a bag of FFOF cost.....around here the shit is 25 bucks a bag....I can get 2 bales of spaghum peat moss (3.8 cubic feet) and a 40 ilb bag of dolomite lime for that price....just add perlite and your good.....The way i do it for indoor plants is 5 parts peat......2 parts perlite and 4 cups of dolomite lime per bale of peat...../and if you have worm castings, which aren't required, i use 1 part castings.....and i also use a cup of Rich Earth...its the same as Azomite.....I when Im done mixing I wet it all with water and some micro herd innoculate(mychrhazael)(SP?) then I let that "cook" under a tarp for a few weeks just for the microbes to blend it all.......and its good for along time.... works better than FFOF and its alot cheaper,. no more spending thousands of dollars on soil every year.....FUCK THAT! Make your own. Once you do it, you will be glad you did.

I would also say, you dont have a cal/mag problem yet, I would give it a lil nitrogen the next 2 feedings and go from there...Let the yellow leaves, yellow more to the point that you lift up on the leaf and it falls off...dont pull it off, let it fall off, with your help...if that makes sense....
Using Epsom Salts has a fine line, use to much and it will start doing more harm than good by locking shit out..... a tell tale sign of cal/mag def, is the yellow leaf with geen veins...i dont see that in your pics....But alittle epsom wont hurt, just start out with a small amount like Hazy Lady suggested. AYE?

And to be honest....Just cause that one leaf is yellow, doesnt mean shit really.....If my plant had one yellow fan leaf at teh bottom of the plant, i would smoke a joint, and forget about it....unless it starts moving up the plant...its nothing....carry on.

What type of water you using Meaty? Tap or RO? You know the tap down here has plenty of Cal already in it, no need to add Lime to it.
And I agree with rubbanutZ420, I doubt it's a cal/mag def. Feed them your Bloom formula...

Thanks for all of the responses guys. It is starting to affect the next set of fan leaves. Yellowing but the veins are definitely green, which is leading me to think magnesium.

I took your advice evl, from my last grow and ditched the lime. I must say it is better off because last time I locked out calcium. And I am using tap water so there is enough in there.

I am gonna treat with epsom salts to see if it stops, if not then ferts.

Thanks guys :D
