I did not know this....

Hopper's acting career had languished as he developed a reputation for throwing tantrums and abusing alcohol and drugs. On the set of "True Grit," Hopper so angered John Wayne that the star reportedly chased Hopper with a loaded gun.

...and it only made me love him even more!!

Yes, this is sad news. Mr. Hopper was a true individual, pain in the ass, genuine marvel of an actor. He was very pro-mj, as med and as enjoyment. His scenes in Easy Rider were done with real weed. He might have pissed off a lot of Hooeywood, but I respect him more for having done it.

My friend lived down the street from him in Veince California back in the late 80's. He was a crazy f*ck, but was cool as hell. I never meet him personally just going by what my friend said about him. He hung with him and Robert Williams the artist, I guess Dennis Hopper was an artist too. He had to be a little crazy to live in that gang infested neighborhood for a Hollywood actor with some money. At the time people were getting killed by drive by shootings all the time. He blow me away the first time I saw Blue Velvet, trippy dude.
