I just bought a CHHC-4 which recently superceded the CHHC-1. I have 8 Super Sun 2 reflectors, money well spent. I bought a couple of NextGen ballasts cause they had nifty looking fans and and cool blinking leds, sold them a week later. (Remember FutureBrite ballasts with fans made by C.A.P.) Galaxy and Quantum are both good investments but honestly I think only Lumatek has been around longer than 6 years. When I bought my first lumateks almost 6 years ago every other digi ballast available then is either gone now or relabeled cause the prototype was complete garbage. They probably wouldn't sell as many NextGens if they were marketed as second generation FutureBrites. C.A.P. Timers are solid though and I have a 4 and 8 light unit. I have a 65 pint dehumidifier but I want a Santa Fe and they now have a compact unit for about $800 you can check out on ebay. I am running EYE hortis on lumateks and galaxys without issue so far but this is not recommended. I can tell you that GE Lucaloxes will work for years with a digital ballast with no problems. If you really have money to burn I would look into Lazymans suggestion of the Coolerado. Watercooling looks neato but I think a big heat exchanger with a carbon filter that scrubbed,cooled, and continuously exchanged the air in the room would be more practical.Finally if you have 2 rooms with the exact same dimensions a flip flop is ideal. You can setup one room with a 40 amp circuit and 4-10 ballasts then flip that right over instead of another 40 amp circuit and 4-10 more ballasts. Or you can stagger them like I do, that way a 6 inch vortex will cool 8 hoods cause only 4 lights are on at any given time.

i know this isnt what you asked... but if i inherited that kind of $, i'd get into real estate and keep it clean. there are lots of good deals out there nowadays

ok, so now that ive said that, ive always thought those omega gardens things were cool... although i have no experience with them whatsoever.


EDIT: Maybe this isnt the best idea b/c of the amount of plants you would have. maybe growing a couple big plants would be better than lots of clones

If I had a long term spot I'd spend my money in the physical room construction - heavily insulated and sound proof. Hidden would be a plus. Other then that...

Hang bulbs bare - alotta air conditioning - and a simple method of cultivation such as ebb and flow or coco pots.

Everything else is just a waste of time and money.

Now I said money to burn, I just meant that I did not want to propose a budget. I did not want to limit my advice I received.

I really want to know how to set up the highest tech set up I can find on the market, and who sells it.

I have had lots of successful grows, indoor and outdoor, mostly in soil, one in hydro a while back. I consider myself to be a master gardener who can grow pot with 2 sticks, some bark and a bean.

But I am TIRED of boring cheap cheap cheap. I have that already.

I want to find out the best stuff out there on the market. I want to LOOK at all of it, and then Make up my mind, what I want to put in there.

Thanks for all the help. I ain't a newbie, look at my albums. I grew all that weed with Miracle Grow soil and some nute samples.

If I can grow such killer weed with inferior tools, what will my weed look like when I get some good tools to use?

I don't want to limit myself. I eventually will be getting hydro gear, water cooled lights, C02 generators, fan systems, controllers, etc.

I don't want to SELL no weed to get my money back either. I am small time, my OWN use only. I make a few beans to send into the BAY for freebies.

Now, I hope this is explanation enuf. For all. $$ to burn means, don't limit your advice to a budget of any kind.... OK?

No budget concerns?

Hire the best building contractor to build you a secured Internet data center, or buy an existing high-end telecommunications equipment building. They will make nearly the best grow rooms you can imagine, and it will be more than enough capacity to power and cool as many lights as you can throw in there, pretty much out of the box. And they won't ever suspect you're growing weed. Most of these types of buildings don't have windows in the design/blueprint, and have enough battery & generator power to self-sustain any reasonable sized commercial grow (easily 100+ lights, if not 1000+, in a medium-sized IDC).

OK, Let's pretend I have money to burn. I want the latest, most expensive, high tech growroom setup there is!!!

What is the most cutting edge equipment? Who Makes It.

2 10x15 foot grow rooms are empty, so tell me what to put in there.

Hmm... I'll assume that you don't have a dedicated mother/clone room..

If I started over right now...

Room 1: Mothers, clones, veg.
3 vert 1k mh watercooled w/ chiller on same res as ..
30 pot ebb and grow system
4 for mothers 26 for veg
1 cloner machine
1 t5 light system of some sort.
1 ac/dehuey/heater
1 12" vortex w/ appropriate carbon filter (also cools lights via watercooling system) set to recirc the room
1 watercooled co2 generator set run to waste off tap and plumbed natural gas to run without ever needing to change a cannister
1 supercontroller of any sort, they are all pretty great.
1 auto-topoff valve w/ nutrient doser

Room 2:
Repeat controller/topoff/doser/co2 gen/ac/ebb and gro system/ add one extra 12" vortex setup w/ carbon filter

xx pot ebb and grow system and chiller to suit strains
5-6 vert 1k hps watercooled.

Run that setup and just grow TREES.

And you would have room to move around your plants too. The system would be very self-sufficient and you would be able to go away for days even weeks. only detriment would be rotating plants every day or two. Would easily run $10k. You could stagger crops easily and grow multiple strains easily.

MPSP Lighting is pretty state of the art tec, Sulpher Plasma Lighting is supposed to be the closest thing to Sunlight in existense, as far as i know. Bloody Expensive, but look promising. Twice the Output at half the Heat, things like that always interest me. Your talking anything from £800.00(ive seen them at this price) - £2000.00 per unit, depending on size! Blows anything on the market out of the water imo! Worth a look & they will take half your budget, Lamps dont require changing for many years. Add these to your high tec set up Lola! & best of Luck!
