Possible Arrest Warrant: Emergency Takedown?

If your lawyer talked to them he should have been able to find out if there was a warrant. If so you can usually work out a deal to surrender yourself and not have them come get you.

If you ask me I smell bullshit...they dont have shit and were hoping you would walk in and give a statement and they would doctor some shit and pin it on you.

Tell them to fuck off....TALK TO MY LAWYER! That's what you pay a lawyer for!

i'm no expert, but once they come to your place with an arrest warrant they will search your house as a matter of routine, at least a quick walk through. better take down and live to grow another day. again depending on how harsh growing is treated where you are etc. if possible try and move everything, better safe then sorry.

if in doubt, choose safety
if you have a shutdown plan, get off here and do it
i'd hate to do it myself, but if i felt i was in risk, then the plants go immediately

JUST HAVE YOUR ATTORNEY TALK TO THEM....PERIOD......THEY ARE JUS LOOKIN FOR YOU TO SAY SOMETHING AND HANG YOUR SELF.........REMEMBER THE 5TH AMMENDMENT....YOU MIGHT WANNA TEAR DOWN JUS TO BE SAFE...DJ

i don't know - there is a difference in being contacted by the police and an arrest warrant
i once witnessed a fight - the police contacted me cause i was listed as a witness - they never came to my house - just called and we spoke - didn't incriminate myself

if they have something on you they will come in your front door with no warning
if not all they can do is talk to you - and if you tell them you want your attorney present you have that right

i have had many friends tear down things when it was not needed
i would wait it out - but thats just me

dwarf: True, they don't have shit. I, via my attorney, gave them my side of the story. They are upset because what my attorney tells them is not addmisible in court, they want the things I said to be on the record and usable either so that they can twist it against me or to use it against somebody else. I don't want anything to do with either of those things. I would hope that my attorney could find out if there was a warrant before they snatch me up, I would voluntarily report in. But I also understand that this is probably not always possible. Do you want a murderer knowing that the police want him in jail, or do you think they should just go grab him?

Its smart to tear town or relocate just in case. All I am saying is that its pretty common for a lawyer to call on behalf of client to find out if a warrant has been issued and arrange for a surrender. Unless you did murder someone....then they might kick in your door. Just my :2cents:

Tear it down. Even though they probably will not be able to actually do anything, better safe than sorry.
The State is a bitch... lol. I've spent MONTHS in jail for felony charges, with a bond WAY too high for me to even consider paying, just to get to jury selection and the D.A. comes in the court saying that they don't think they have the evidence for a conviction.
Case dropped after wasting my time, then they found a hold for another county where I stayed for a month before having charges dropped. And this was without a lawyer.

Best thing to remember, is your lawyered up. Don't say ANYTHING if the arrest does come. It is their job to prove you guilty, and you don't need to do anything to make their jobs easier.

I was in the interview room joking about the cops family... which I wouldn't suggest unless you like cold elbow noodles with a slice of cheese for breakfast, lol

Gotta love those cops. "If you don't talk we'll arrest you".

That right there would cause me to go there and tell them in person - I don't ever talk to police. Any questions? Ask my lawyer.

It's amazing how much better you feel when you don't have to worry. :)

Good job man, hope it all works out.

Critical stages of tear-down complete. All major plant matter has been removed from the property. Once-over cleanup is also complete, trace foliage may remain but is too small to visually identify. A quick walk-through through all rooms would not arouse suspicion. A thorough and intentional search however would turn up some suspicious items, but nothing actually illegal; and as I stated before, if the police serve an arrest warrant on me while I am here, they will not be here for anything grow or drug related; nor would they need to look for evidence pertaining to the crime which they are accusing me.

What the police are doing is still up in the air. I can ride out this other issue, I was only really worried about my baby girls, but now they're in a better place.

I would like to post a detailed step-by step of my tear-down, including my justification for the priority I placed on certain things, along with things I felt I did wrong or could have improved on. Whether or not my tear-down was necessary, these are things we should all have a basic plan for. I will be doing this at some point once the dust has settled.

The last several hours have been like stress-city for me. I need a cold glass of ice water and a xanax.

Thanks for the love guys, I'll keep everybody updated to the degree that I can without jeopardizing myself in the process.

Last note: If you're seriously asking yourself "should I tear down my grow?", then you should tear down your grow.

very wise imo.

in the end you can always replace plants and buds inside 3months, so why take a chance of not being able to grow again for5 years or what ever, let alone the risk to your freedom.

good luck
