I resisted for a long time because it's one more thing that uses electricity ( no where near an a/c unit but still > 300 watts). Another downside is that part of the de-humidification process raises the output air temp a couple degress. Since I shut down my flower space during hotter months no biggie.

One thing to keep in mind about both Baking Soda & Potassium Bicarbonate is that
they can fu@k up your burn if used during flowering. They are both used in some fire extinguishers.

This is great for the winter! I cant use an A/C in the winter, too cold... :tiphat:

What brand did you get?

Yeah, I think the next time it gets cloudy Ill be busting out the dehumidifier I have lying around. Ive been resisting using it cause the thing is HUGE and runs on a ton of juice. Well, thankfully we're entering the dry season - no humidity issues during the dry season.. :jump:

Wow...for a dry place growers here seem to have a lot of problems with humidity and PM. What do you guys use for air movement in your rooms? Oscillating fans? What's going on SD?

I have multiple oscillating fans + my cool tube sucks air from just above the canopy. The problem is it's everywhere. Most of the milkweed type weeds in my neighbors yards have it & I also see it on hydrengas and other ornamentals around the 'hood.

Its gotta be the beach brotha....Humidity is above average in my tent thats for sure and I run a small 2X4 tent with 1-4" inline fan so there shouldnt be a problem but there is. I use a dehuey, gets my humidity perfect and isnt too hard on the temp. If I dont use this I am guaranteeing I will have mold inside the buds. I havent really had problem with PM....Saw it once about a year ago whipped it off and havent ever seen it again! Lucky I am ;) This run I started using 1 oscillating fan too and it seems to help with the air movement.

How many runs did ya do Rob? I would think you would have yielded 10 grams of quality hash, then maybe another run for another ten.....Does that mean you have hash to smoke?!?!?!?!? ;)

I stopped using all 8 bags... Bags 1, 2, and 4 of 8 work great for me :blowbubbles:

I get pm on my roses outside but never on my girls inside. I use foliars that I believe helps because friends with the same sys get it but they do not foliar spray. I use k silicate, kelp, aminos, these are my sprays I do add some other things for certain weeks. I also burn sulfur twice in veg and day 10 and 11 in flower for 4 hrs per night. I also burn and run it through all my ventilation and ducts for 8 hrs between runs.
Those 20 dollar airfilters at HD do a good job keeping the bugs and spores out from your intake. JK
Low rh rooms seem to get pm a lot it might be from the stress. My room when running right stays at 55-75 % rh until the last week of flower.

YES! There are weeds all over the hills of SD that are covered in this crap and I'm expected to get rid of it when its airborne... lame....

Heres my Durban X NL #5 cross & Lifesaver in the same pot. I would say that the CFLs are now officially on par with any HPS setup I've seen in terms of bud size, density and weight.

Hey Sub,

Only 3 bags to make bubble with? Hmmmm. I use the 7 bag kit but I don't use the last bag, the purple one, because it takes too long to drain and the hash is green and inferior to the previous bag, the white one. So I use 6, the first 3 to catch stuff I don't want to smoke and the last 3 to scrape for stash.

Yesterday I made a trip to a pals in newport who had some trim for a little bags-for- hire kinda thing. He had a little tahoe og, fire og, and the white. Threw the leaf from all 3 in together because there wasn't very much. It was very small amount of leaf compared to what I'm used to running every month and I wasn't expecting much of a yield but I'll be damned...the amount of bubble it yielded was identical to the amount I get back using white berry trim, but I have to use at least four times the amount of white berry trim to acheive the same yield I got from the run I just did with the tahoe, fire and white. what the hell??!! The fire og had some fans that were caked with resin, wow. And the bubble! I have to store it in the freezer and have about 20 seconds after I take the container out to get a lil piece on the screen cuz when it warms up, it is impossible to handle with your fingers, it's just too damn sticky, it sticks to everything it touches and it's impossible to scrape off w/o leaving behind residue, that's a sign of extreme quality :)

I can achieve the best quality with ro ice, ro water, and mixing by hand with rubber gloves. That water store on Lamont by Jack in the Box has ro ice and ro water so I get em both there. Mixing with a drill and drywall bit is certainly easier but after making hash every 30 days for 5 years and trying a bunch of methods, various drill mixing bits, varying the length of time I mix, lots of ice vs ice water, etc I've noticed several things and one of them is that hand mixing with rubber gloves achieves noticably superior results. The rule is, the more you mix the yield goes up but the quality goes down. Hand mixing produces the biggest yield of the best quality hash, IMHO. Gonna go vape some of that og bubble nectar right now in fact now that you got me thinking about it ;) stay safe out there sd bros

Haha I use the water store on Lamont next to Jack in the Box as well! Good info on the hand stirring as well - I noticed the same thing with my sprung bags.
