haxi's first real outdoor grow: 2010

Hello everyone!
This year I'll try to grow my plants better than last year... I won't grow bag seeds anymore (damn hermies!)!
It's my first grow journal, so please be kind and excuse me for my weird english..!
I'm not very experienced in cannabis growing, so any comments or suggestions are always welcome!

Location : South France Lat 43°
Strains (seedbank) :
- 1 Cybere (a cross from one of my friends, indica dominant and agrum smoke).
- 2 Lowryder (Joint doctor)
- 1 Blueberry (Dutch Passion)
- 1 White widow (Greenhouse seeds)
- 1 Big bang (GHS)
- 1 Super silver haze (GHS)
- 1 Hawaiian snow (GHS)

All starting from seeds, and they are all feminised. (Except the cyberes)
Spot : Deep in the forest, where nettles and brambles were growing
Soil : Local soil(very good) + 5L of BioBizz All-mix (35% garden peat, 30% perlite, 20% peat moss,10% wormcastings, 5% Pre-Mix) per plant.
Fertilizer : Hesi TNT complex, BioGrow, Hesi Bloom complex and we will probably add Hesi P-K 13-14 during bloom.
Sunlight : Plenty ! :dance013:

I begin the vegetative growth of my plants in my cupboard, it's very little, low light intensity, but it should be ok for the two or three first weeks.
No ventilation, only a pc-fan blowing on the top of the plants.
I got two ECO lamps, one 18w sylvania and one 23w, both have blue spectrum.
They are growing in soil, light mix.

My outdoor soil on the spot seems very good, it is "well ventilated", not compact.
I don't know if I should mix that with universal soil or with more avanced soil like allmix, lightmix...or whatever with perlite :p
What do you advice me? :thank you:

I also heard some good things about bat guano...I'll probably add some to the soil.
The problem in this grow is the water: I need to walk 10min on a path and then 10mins through branches...
Hopefully, there is a little stream just next to the spot! So I have easy access to water, I hope till the end of june. (I think that the stream will dry up when the weather becomes hot) :yappy:

Little cupboard, At left: Big bang. Front: Hawaiian snow. Back: Super silver haze

The entry of the spot (You don't see any way to go through? That's the point!!)

The spot when we arrived... nettles everywere!!

Another pov

Here is the spot when we begun to dig and clean it. It was full of nettles!

Another point of view:

And here a little puppy that we planted today, it's a cross from one of my friends, it is called "cybere" (It's not planted in *the* spot)

Ok I think it's all for today...
I'll try to maintain weekly updates.
See you on the outdoor growing forum ! :)

Good luck, have fun and stay safe. I love watching people with excitement of first "real" grow. I did it last year. Just be careful. It get addictive. Hahaha.

Mh thanks ^^
I'm already addicted, I did some outdoor grow last year, but sunshine, strain, and experience weren't on my side. I did 5g on 1 plant and one got stolen <:D !
But I'm so excited for this year, for sure! :p

One of my grower friends told me that where nettles lived and lives is a very good place to plant cannabis, because they need approximately the same nutrients, and that I probably wouldn't have to add fertilizer.

One thing that I didn't mentioned: Last year, the field on the other side of the stream was an hemp field, now they grow wheat. Is that good?

Thanks in advance ganja lovers :dance013:
Peace

looks like you got some good spots there. you should get some nice plants if you take careof them properly

feral

be careful if hemp is growing in the area. You don't want to have your females getting knocked up from any of the hemp pollen

Yeah feral, I know that, but this year the farmer seems to grow wheat everywhere... :D
@Nickmode: Yeah I hope I'll get big plants because I have only one seed per strain, and I already killed my white rhino and my lemon skunk (heat and out of water, I wasn't at home) ... So I'll take care of them :dance013: :D

Hello icmag lovers :)
Today we dug 5 holes, everything is fine (the soil looks sooo good :dance013: ) !
We also planted another "cybere" !

Cybere2 :

I topped her when she was very young so she(she? I hope that) have only 6 main branches :)

Also the first cybere is going very good :) :dance013:

Cybere1 :

She looks so good but the leaves at the top are a bit weird:

Cybere1 weird curves leaves...

Do you know what happens? It does look like over heat, no ? huh.. These days the weather was so hot (around 28-29°C max, 84°F max).
I don't know...

That's all for today ganja lovers :)
I keep you updated !
Peace

Hello guys, little update of the Greenhouse stuff.
During two days the plants have been exposed to full day sun, and apparently they liked it.

The cupboard today, from front to back: Hawaiian Snow, SSH, Big Bang:

The hawaiian snow...I definitely love sativas !!!

I can't wait to see her growing and blooming :p

The Big Bang.. Very healthy. Indica dominant

Super Silver haze... I think I watered her too much. But she's the most avanced.

We are going to plant them wednesday, I hope they will be old enough.
Next Update: Wednesday :)
See you around.
Peace

Here is "some" homemade hash, I made it from the trichomes collected in my lovely grassleaf grinder

Yeah I know it's not many, but it's my first time making hash I was realy excited !

x30 microscope view

Sorry for the bad photo-quality !
My grow friend and I smoked it in one joint (little) and... boom!! High time ^^
I'm happy that's very good quality. :dance013:

See you!

Hello dear followers :)
Today we planted the Super silver haze, Big bang and hawaiian snow.
I mixed the local soil with some Allmix, around 5L per plant. That makes a very good soil I think :) !

Plants in the cupboard before they leave... HS-SSH-BB

Here the spot, we needed to work hard to get this.

Here are the plants...! They are little, yep!

Super Silver Haze

Big Bang

Hawaiian Snow

I know they are yellowed, I watered them with HESI TNT COMPLEX in the water, I think they will love it :)

Here are the cyberes! Rocking on da place :)

Cybere1 :dance013:

Cybere2

Bottom leaves are yellowed, but we also fertilized her, she'll be happy ;)

We put anti-slug all around the plants

We also did some "home made greenhouses", with bottles.
Mini greenhouse maintains humidity and protects from slugs and animals.

That's all for today,
See you around!
Peace :rasta:

nice thread you got here, tagged. I love your spots. You could use the nettles to make some tea on the spot, you just need a bucket and you can leave it there.

M

Any organic matter is good as a general purpose fertilizer but it's said that nettles have the same requirements as cannabis so making a tea out of them should be especially good. So all you need to do is get a bucket of water and soak the green matter for at least 7 days and add this tea to your water when you're watering the plants or you can use it as it is, undiluted . The idea is to get the nettles to ferment to release their nutriments, so to aid you can also add a couple spoons of sugar and keep the bucket in the sun but covered so the water doesn't evaporate. This type of tea should be rich in nitrogen and micro elements so it's good for vegetation but it also have many other purposes including combating pests. The good news is you can not burn your plants with it. I have used this type of tea on many vegetables and I have learned this from my very old grand-grandmother.
Good luck!

I have never burnt any plants with it but I guess it does matter the type of soil, how big the plants are, and what is their tolerance to fertilizers, if they are potted or not and probably other factors as well so I'd like to correct myself by recommending to use this tea diluted. Thanks grennmax!
