I am a complete newb......but I figured its time to post my first pics and get some feedback from all the you peeps who have helped thus far. I am shooting for a perpetual thing eventually, but right now I am picking mothers and working on dialing in everything. I am running c99 bx1, and soma's NYCD. Pic 1and 2 is of NYCD just 4 weeks into flower

Inside the cab.

I need some help here...not sure what is going on with these lower leaves on my NYCD

Thanks for any help

1 clone of each gets fed a guano tea every feeding, & the other clone gets fed the dr. Bud formula of shultz, fish emul., & super thrive.

Thanks u2...& I'm pretty sure it's not over watering since I'm making sure they are completely dry. Maybe I'll try only feeding every other watering and see what results that gets. I just assumed (& was following dr. Buds feeding schedule) that being in the 16oz containers that they'd need fed every watering. Good news is that I have many clones from 3 moms to test different ideas out on (kinda what I'm doing with the shultz vs organic ferts).

Thanks

NYCD day 40

a controversial experiment I am running to maximize my SOG. I have removed all or most of the fan leaves from several of my plants to allow light to get to the actual bud sites. I have left a clone untouched to compare. Here is NYCD "E", one with and the other without fan leaves

fan leaves were removed from the one on the left 20 days ago....as you can see it is actually a bit taller than it clone....If this works like it appears to be it will allow me to get around 70 of these bud-cicles in my grow area

dang man, great looking plants!

ide love too know how you grow em, do you put em right into flower? how do you do your clones? how call do they get with the bottles? im looking to doing this almost exactly, but with hydro. :) im going to be doing PK clones in a perpetual PC full tower sog.

thanks mam....they are grown under cfl...Ive only been veg'n the clones until I see new good growth. I am still experimenting with veg time and pot size. So far the best is a 20oz square water bottle cut down to about 16 oz's, but regular 20 oz pop bottles cut down to 16 oz works good too, and they fit into my pepsi delivery tray perfectly....as far as cloning, well, I follow Dr. buds cloning method to a T, and it seems to work great......I'd love to see your results with this method in hydro!!

Very nice looking budcicles! How tall are they when they go into the box?

fuzz420...thanks man

rushchaser....thanks, right now I am looking for their sweet spot on starting height to get bud all the way down to the soil, and still get them to stretch just enough to finish under the lights. Right now for NYCD it appears to be perfect to flower them as soon as the clones are established and starting to appear healthy...so like 2". Still not sure on the sweet spot for my C99 since they are weeks behind and still going through the stretch.

Autosfordummies...thanks...and I have 2 @65w, 3 @55w, and 4@ 42w lights in there (kinda a mixed collection of what I had from previous cabs) for a total of 333w. out of those 333w, 97w are 6500k, and the rest are 2700k.

thanks for the interest

i'm running a dr bud sog also. looks like you are getting a lil better results than i. i am also running guano teas. i seem to get better resuls leaving the fans leaves on until about 5-6 weeks in. you said you are following Dr buds cloning method exactly...are you reusing the perlite over and over or strating with new? i've had trouble with using it more than about 3 cycles.

i also prefer the mixed spectrum. Im also trying the defoliation technique. Its hard to say this early but the only cons ive seen is that it appears to make the plant grow taller and with less bud if picked off too early. Youre looking nice and green though man. Sweet choice in strains, im subscribed

Oh yeah, one question, What medium are you using? Im looking to improve my soil. Right now im taking the easy way and using MG moisture control potting soil and MG bloom boost every 3rd watering. Id like my soil to evolve into a "just add water" (or "just soak in water") to cut down to the pains of wondering at what point to add what nute to which of the 30 some odd flowers ya got rollin.
