Hi there

I just got my new EC meter, EC-3, look http://www.tdsmeter.com/products/ec3.html

It has very simple instruction and it's very simple but I dont know how to read it anyway.

Instructions for taking EC measurements step 6. says: if the meter displays a flashing 'x10' symbol, multiply the reading by 10.

So I went and checked my EC on my DWC and it show 250 and a blinking x10 symbol. What, so is this meter saying that my EC is 250x10? = 2500?? Can not be!

Any change you have one of these meter and you have figured out how to read this.

I checked tap water and it showed 092, this I assume stands for EC .92 , correct? If so the my bubbler EC is 2500! I dont think so.

EC comes in mS/cm or µS/cm. 1mS=1000µS. mSx10 is CF or Conductivity Factor. While CF is less bogus than "TDS" or "PPM" it's still EC converted into something it's not. Do yourself and the hobby a favor, stick with mS or µS.
