Growing a LowRyder #2 under 24/0 light regime

low 2 is bomb smoke, the kind of erb thats a little trippy speedy and if u are worried maybe parionia leaning. i luved it.
if it came out yesturday and renamed some fancy bullshite like skunkbreath ryder it would be in the top 5 of autos, hey it probally still is.

it's good to hear!

next to come (now about @ day 7 of flowering) EasyRyder, it should rock aswell. tomorrow I gonna plant a DieselRyder.

Also trying a
Snowstorm to try a different AF strain..

Ya, that Lowryder 2 is an edgy high. I kinda like it. Yet it can lead to some crazy paranoia if you go overboard. about a year ago i made some brownies with it. ate way to much and went to bed like at 7pm. Not that it put me to sleep. I just turned off all the lights and slid into bed as to avoid... everything. LOL

Can cause some crazy paranoia.

hahaha. that happened to me with some white rhino about 3 years ago. i haven't made brownies since. i made myself go to bed to stop the thought process. i thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest. i didn't smoke for 2 weeks. it was hard to get back on the horse after this.

Wow everything is turning out really nice for you wonder what the final yield will be

we harvested the plant yesterday, @ day 83.

Actually I did an error thinking it wasnt' ready yet because there was still a lot of white hair on the plant so I left it (unflushed) some more under the plant.

We then moved the plant in the harvesting room (dark) and kept it on flush for 2 days (for a total of 3days flush) and it began to throw new flowers!! I hope this will not affect the quality of our high & plant. Anyways, it was very hard to spot amber trichs so I hope the high isn't too affected.

I have an easyryder @ day 46 now, I have to make this will not happen again..

Pictures soon

Hey i am a new grower and have brought 5 fem auto blueberry from dutch passion , i germinated the seeds 4 days ago and since have been under four 60 watt energy saving bulbs , they have sprouted up fine . What i was planning was to add another 4 60 watt energy saving bulbs when they start to flower , my old friend is a very experinced grower and said this should be fine , i was wondering has anyone else tried a simliar thing to what im doing and got decent results let me know thanks Gsmoked :)

you can use CFL lights but the need to be powerful.

As you can see our LowRyder was placed under 2 x 20W (the box says it should light as a 130W each) and was doing fine (but kinda small), then placed it with more 3x20W lamps when started flowering and was still doing pretty good but not really yummy looking. When we finally placed it under the 250W it began to have a good smell and size.

Bottomline: I think your 240W cfl should work fine and adding 240W more during flowering should enough. As sayed earlier in the topic, use 2300K light for flowering (my plant probably suffered because that).

Please post some pictures of how you grow your plant if is at 24/0 light!

ah nice one so in total im going to have 8 60 watt energy saving bulbs as soon as it start flowering prob after 2 weeks or so , i will def take some pics no point now only a few days old will be under 24 hour light as decided there autos and do not need darkness or was thinking maybe 20/4 when start flowering not really too sure but keen to keep then under 24/7 light as only using enery savers ::) but will def keep u posted, what u think about the light cycle ?

also i have made a simple grow box in my back room made out of wood , i will have 8 lights in total and prob a electric fan for air do u think the 8 60watt lights will keep it warm enough with the fan on as well , really excited about this might add two fast bud seeds after a week or 2 as well happy days

CFL lights produce a lot of heat. I think those light might produce too much heat for a small box. You should let it on a couple days and measure the temps before you place more seeds!
Can't wait to see some pictures :dance013:

About the light cycles; I have tryed 24/0, 20/4 and 12/12. I can say I didn't see much difference between 24/0 and 20/4 so I would go straight on 24/0 to give more light to the plant. Also this guide says that veg plants easily get 33% more grow with this regime.

As for the lamp safety (HID), I would prefer a 22/2 cycle, to give it some rest. I used CFL @ 24/0 for more than a month with no problems at all..

If you keep other plants in veg with the AF then is better to use 20/4 (or even 18/6) so you don't shock your plants when moving to 12/12.

Anyways if you can use that wattage I would suggest you to use directly a 400W HID, better yield and probably less heat.

Best fortune for your blueberries and keep us informed!

Some updates here!

We have harvested the plant and is in curing right now.
The current weight, at 78% RH, is of 16.33gr. Probably the dry weight is of about 13-14gr.

We tought it would yield a bit more but we are satisfied and the quality looks good! Still at our first harvest :)

So we have an EasyRyder at day 51 and we moved this plant under the 250W HPS (12/12) to see if does good.

It should take about 20days more to finish and before then we will change the lamp to a 250W MH (back to 20/4) and see how it reacts..

i havent actually made the box yet , i have a small box with four 60 watt energy savers in with the seedlings in still waiting or one to pop up so have four at the mo , was wondering how tall do they get to as need measurement on how high i need to build it , and you think 6 would be better than 8 i think having a tiny electric fan inside would do a treat but the four lights are doing the seedlings well so far , so anyway lol how tall they actually get was thinking of chucking in 5 auto fast buds too they only take 7.5 weeks and as for the light cnt be bothered with light cycle so easier to leave on constantly hopeing the lights dnt melt lol was thinking four 60 now wen they start to flower add another 4 :)

AF don't grow much, at maximum to 1.20m so a 1.80m would suffice. Our plant was aprox 70cm.

As said before, I would prefer a HID instead of all those CFL.
A 250W would be perfect (on a 1m x 1m space with 6 AF plants, max 8) and consume as much as 4x60W cfl.

Anyhow are the light & seeds in a closed env? What temp do you measure with your seedlings?

so how high you think i should make the box and there covere with a peice of wood , im a total beg so going to get a temp measured whats the best temp ? and with the lights i am skint so using energy savers cos thats all i had in the house lol but i need a space for about 10 plants in total im sure 8 lights is enough in the future when i can afford will get a hid , anyways in total 480 watts how much yeild u think i get from 9-10 autos :) and will show u pics when i can :) i have basically a room im going to corner off with whatever space i can have its an empty room and yes closed environment refelctive sheets insie lights hanging above seedings about 2 inches tall looking very healthy :)

Hi abnormalgrowers, why don´t you buy some non AF plants to grow indoor, you´ll get higher wields and spent less money on electricity .

You may still want about 70-80cm of space above your plants. Our box height is 2.10m so we have plenty space to grow taller strains and use hydroponic system (where plants grow higher from the ground).

Dunno how much you can yield with those lamps, probably around ~200-250gr/m2. I harvested my first AF just a while ago and didn't yield much.. :) in three weeks I gonna harvest an EasyRyder (grown under CFL, then LED and now HPS) and after a little more another LowRyder #2 grown outdoor.
