Altering on off time of 18/6

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the issues with changing the times of your 18/6. I'm not sure what their on and off time of day was while cloning (These came from a friend). So what are the possible bad things that could happen if I'm choosing a totally different 18/6 on off? Thank you all!

The plants are going to grow feet, come to your room and turn the lights on at night messing with YOUR sleep.

Seriously?? NOTHING !!!

Find a time that works for you so you can work on them during lights on, and move on.


Clones are traded, bought, sold etc, nobody pays attention to their old light cycle.

I would not suggest screwing with them every day though. But for your purposes dont even think about it again

It's really hard to mess them up in veg when it comes to the lighting schedule. Just get them running on a schedule that fits for you. I usually go 18/6 too but you can change your times too in the middle of veg; going from 24/0 to 20/4 to 16/8 without stressing your plants. Plants are very forgiving in veg.

Awesome! Thanks guys. Yeah, I just wanted to make sure that the plant doesn't "learn" it's light cycle, and then get's angry at me for waking it up too early in the morning. Kinda like my girlfriend. Less violent tho. ;-)
