Temperature in revisour? heater needed?

Well, I'm growing in my outhouse - during nights the temperature fall to 10 degree - though i wanna ask: Do i need a heater?

There is no heating whatsoever in the outhouse, though it's isolated - but atm i keep the door open for the vent tube (gonna drill holes if needed)

So i wanna ask: How important is the temperature in the water? Will my 250w HPS be able to heat it (as the room temperature will raise to 25 degree when its on).. Will it harm the plant, if the water is too cold?

Links appreciated

Yes, you need a heater 10 degrees is way too cold that is really too cold even as air temperture, not just your reservoir. But why are you growing in an outdoor shithouse... lol... Probably something lost in translation lmao.

It's only during nights is 10 degrees - not when the lamp is turned on.. and afaik they should be able to handle downtill 0 right?

Plants with cold roots will grow very slowly even if the air is warm. Plants with warm roots will survive and grow quickly even if the air is too cold.

Ideal water temperature for reservoirs is between 63-68*F, colder stunts growth, hotter breeds pathogens as the warmer water holds less dissolved oxygen (DO)

Yes by all means get a water heater, you can use fishtank charts to select the right model as the requirements are almost identical.

Okay I will.

What about the night temperature? Does it matter if the temperature is 10 degree if the water in the revisour (running each 15th minute) is warm enough?

Could you hang up some blankets, or nail some wood, make the outhouse light proof, and run your lights at night, so in the day, when they sleep, they dont get hard nipples. 10 degrees, cut glass wit em.

Uh.. I just googled outhouse, and this is NOT what i mean :b
The room im growing is kind of like a garage, we just keep tools and shit there - brick floor, isolated thick wooden walls(20cm)..

I apologize for my crappy english.

It sounds like you are growing in a "shed".Since you already have electric for your light, just add a space heater with a thermostat to bring your temps up.:):)
Also, are we talking Celcius or Farenheit?:)

We are talking celius. Though you're talking about a water heater right? I got no problem with room temperature since my intake and outake is connected to a thermostat.
