Its been awhile since I hung the lamp. Cookie jar is bare. Time to get after it.:artist:

I consider my setup about as easy and care free as they come. I would recommend it for new growers for personal use. K.I.S.S. applies - Keep It Simple Stupid.

Grow Space: 1/2 of a 2' x 4' closet in my basement office.I partitioned it in half by createing a removal door. It is fairly stealth setup - enough so I do not have to worry if the in-laws stop by and are poking around.



Grow Space is 2' x 2' with 5.5' of height. I had some heating ducts which limited my height but this is more than enough for most Indica dominant strains. I grew White Widow and it was a battle taming them by tying them down.

I have a 4" duct in the ceiling of the grow room and use a 4" inline duct fan to exhaust in the suspended ceiling of my office. Odor is usually not a huge issue.

I germinated a pack of Nirvana Bubblicious in Jiffy peat pots with a germination heating mat. My basement is cool 55-58 and the mat is needed to get things going. I almost always get 100% germination.

I took 8 of the seedlings and planted them in 3 gal pots using Foxfarm Ocean Forest Soil. I hung the 250 HPS as soon as they sprouted keeping it about 24" from the soil until they showed their second set of leaves and then I slowly lowered to 15". I will go down to 8-10" as they mature. I bought a Sunleaves 250 that can switch between MH and HPS. I never felt I needed a MH bulb for growth as I get good results with just an HPS. I may try next grow.

No nutes yet. I will be using Botanicare Pure Blend Pro. I like to keep nutes light 1 tsp/gal every other watering. I will not start until 3 weeks into the grow as the FF OF has plenty of nutes

14 days under the HPS. 19 days from seed. Nothing but ph adjusted tap water. (1/4 tsp white vinegar per gal.). They are now 6" tall and growing well. I am going to put them in 12/12 tonight. This is a little quicker than in the past - I normally wait till 8-10". I always get a little more growth than desired so I am going to see how it goes flowering them earlier.

Update. 7 days into 12/12 and the plants are thriving. All are about 10-12" high. No nutes yet - just ph adjusted water every other day. I think 1 is a male but still early for showing sex.

2 weeks of 12/12. Culled 3 males - down to 5 plants. Things were a bit cramped but now the plants have some more room. Of the 5 plants remaining, 2 more are probably male - leaving - I hope 3 females. Flowering is taken a bit long - probably because I flowered so early. 3 or 4 more days I should be certain. No worries - everything is trucking along.

I gave them their first feeding the other night - 1/2 Tbsp of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Soil per gallon. EC was measured at 0.64.

Hi Flower Power

21 days 12/12, I got 2 females, 6 males. All showed sex by 18 days 12/12 - the 2 females were the last to show. Not a lot of branching. They are 28-30" height. Transplanted to 5 gallon nursery pots with FFOF. 1 TBSP per gal of PBP Soil Bloom every other water.

Continuing with 1/2 tbsp per gallon Botanicare PBP every other water. New growth is lush and green. Old growth fan leaves almost looked over fertilized, even though I did not use nothing but water the first 4 weeks. They looked that way pretty early on in some of the plants.

At 28 days 12/12, they are bit behind in flowering compared to previous grows of other strains. I am starting to believe the 70-77 days flowering.

Here is an update at 41 days. Still a long way to go. I was gone for 5 days and set up a drip irrigation system with 1/2" tubing, drip emitters, pump, electronic timer and 3 gallon bucket. Did the trick - a bit over watered but no worries. Back to hand watering now that I will be around every day.

These plants have a way to go. Nirvana Bubblicious is not a quick strain. I could say how they would go 70-77 days. This plant looks about half way.

I have been using PBP Bloom Soil at 1/2 TBSP/gal once a week and nothing else. Ph water at 6.8.

Buds are packing on the weight...cannot wait to finish. Another 3+ weeks..not sure.

Plants were single cola - almost no branching. If I grew Bubblicious again, I would pinch a few times to encourage more tops. The colas are huge but taking a long time to finish. Lower half of the cola is almost ready and but the top half could use another week.
