How to keep my reservoir well mixed

I have a drip system with a 70 gallon reservoir using Fox Farm nutrients.

The day after mixing my solution the bottom of the reservoir is lined with sediment. I have to stir it to get it to look like it did when I initially made the mix.

It takes less than a half an hour to settle again. I am afraid that my plants aren't getting the nutrients since it looks as if it is all on the bottom of the reservoir.

Is there a method of keeping it well mixed other than going down every hour and stirring?

I found the perfect solution to this. First I tried a ceramic bubbler, but the flow of bubbles didn't seem to give enough circulation. Then on a trip to the pet store just browsing, I ran across something called a "circulation pump" and immediately recognized that the thing could be used to keep my res fresher.

Here's a link to a reseller, unfortunately the company's website doesn't currently work:

They come in a nice range of sizes, and keep the fine particles in suspension quite nicely.

I appreciate the response. I googled water circulation pumps and found a 1200 GPH pump for roughly $35. I will give it a shot and see how it works. Thanks again.

you need a mixing pump(any aquarium h20 pump) anything small will do if it starts to heat the solution add a timer 15 on 45min off.

Ive never had sediment sounds like its the additives dropping out not the nute, if the nute is mixed too strong specially P and K can drop out and you get a salty white residue on the res floor. Your res is pretty big the quick fix is to buy another pump or bleed a % from the feeding pump to recycle around in tank but this only works when feeding pump is ON.

Those wave makers from aquarium shops would work but @ 100 to $200 vs a $20 elcheepo 6oolitre per hour pump i know which way id go.

yea just using a standard pump had occured to me, but i have a very small res and the smallest circ pumps are pretty cheap.
I just needed something to keep my kelp in solution.

I contacted Fox Farm and they said that they had a tear in their screen that filters the Tiger Bloom which let way more earthworm casting in than what is supposed to be. The customer service rep said that it is fine to let it settle or that I could filter it my self with cheese cloth. I ended up putting a small aquarium pump in my reservoir anyways to keep everything else well mix. I appreciate the help and insight everyone gave.

they admitted to inconsistencies (sp) in their products?? always throw in a cheap pump to circulate organics... shouldnt use an airator unless the company suggests it. some nutrients do funny things when air is added to the h2o especially if you are using co2 in the room.
