Most yield out of a 1 gallon pot?

like the title says im curious to see what my fellow canagraphers can yiled using only a 1 gallon pot?

I dont care what medium, what type of system i just want to know how much you guys have pulled or averaged using only a 1 gallon containment system per plant.

I know strain and veg time are key but i just want to see what people are doing with this size pot. im curious to see peoples veg times and results using this size containment unit, i am accustom to bigger pots.

I ran across a thread that said yield is equal to pot size, so a 1gal pot can yield about 1oz; 2gal pot, 2oz; etc.. But then, a few posts have claimed to pull out larger amounts from pots.

Take whatever i say with a grain of salt though, i am just going by memory.

i did run 1 gal pots when i first started because of space. i would get 20 to 30 grams a plant.

Yield has a lot of factors involved in it. From personal experience, yield in soil has a lot more to do with root system/medium amount than any other. I personally grow in hydroton, 2 gallon ebb and grow systems, and have harvested up to 1.5 lbs per bucket/plant. I average about a lb. per bucket, but with CO2 that can be augmented.

Most will say no way, but I will post some pics of my monsters.

I have ebb and flowed some Sour Diesel out of a 5.25 x 5.25 pot/hydroton (about a half gallon) to over 100 gram buds. This was under a 1000w and packed in SOG style. Footballs.

The problem with running small pots if your running something like a DWC is keeping it filled. I'm running 2 gallon DWCs right now and I'm about six weeks into flowering now, the plants are drinking the nearly the entire res every day. Before this grow I grew in a 3 gallon DWC and that I think was the optimal size.

In terms of yield, growing in the two gallon bucket I have a plant about four feet tall and I'll estimate will yield around ten ounces. My last plant in a three gallon I grew out to near Christmas tree size and it yielded over a pound.

2oz from 2l bottles made into hempybuckets. Theres a post somewhere with pics where someone grew some pretty big colas in the little plastic party cups...just needed watering hell of alot.

Just my two cents

I think the question is flawed I ve seen 1.5 oz off 1 gal sea of green style and ive seen 3.5oz scrog style . So the question is imo biggest single plant , like a one plant system or is it a room full of 1 gal pots . I know you said you didnt care but some may Peace out much love

Right now I am pulling roughly a half to an once and a half once a week off my perpetual rdwc system, and I am sure could easily double that with a bigger light(currently just running a 150w with some cfls to supplement it

You say you don't care about medium, but that makes a huge difference, in soil you can't go far with a gallon of medium, but coco or a hydro application, such as one gallon size rockwool, is a different story. I'd say 2-5 ounces off a one gallon rockwool or coco, even hidroton is possible. Veg them for a month under 1000s, its ALL about medium and veg times imo

the buckets are going to be filled with coco and stacked verticaly hoping to get 1oz per pot. Also they will be touching on the sides.

Anfer, If I could pick your brain for a minute on your Ebb & Gro setup...
What nutes were you using? Did you change anything in the system itself? I'm working with a buddy to setup three 4x4x6 tents with a 9-bucket E&G in each tent, each with it's own rez. Using the 2-gallon buckets. I'd be thrilled to get 1/2 the yield you got, and would very much like to know some specifics if you don't mind... :)

You don't have enough posts to PM, so I apologize to Greenthumb for jacking the thread!!
