you know what's wrong with this thread is all the reposting of pics and saying who they're going to vote for. why do people do that? or people nominating 4 pics at once. pick 1, we can only vote for 1 anyways. and asking for seeds or clones from those who nominated somebody else's work?

i agree with ya on reposting, I also think it kinda sways votes.. cos peeps always wanna go with majority.. and yes only post one pic, I mean its the same plant its going to have other nice looking nugsz.. the last i havent seen so cant comment.. have a nice day.. peace n pufs..

nominating more pics at once is weird, but reposting is good way to make mods not miss that one picture (but i doubt, that anyone will miss the one ive reposted this month )

all i know is the picture of the dude standing by the 15 foot plants was reposted 6 more times. first nomination had 4 entries and was reposted a few more times.

sorry to be an ass about this but this is just stupid, don't spoil a good thread, if you like the picture give some rep to the person who took it and wait until the new month to vote. leave it to nominations and read the rules.

There must be a rule to avoid the quoting of nominated pics
Every month we got a ten of good pics and a hundred of quoted pics that makes the reading of these threads absolutely boring

This multiple quoting/posting of same nom pics was not as much of a problem before as it has evolved into. I am confident that MAIG will sort it out, who knows, maybe even include something in the rules about this.

MAIG has does an excellent job with the POTM since I handed it over a cpl years back, with me no longer having the time to spend doing it.

I can understand a member making more than one nomination...but within reason (let's not debate what 'within reason' constitutes ) ...for example, you see a pic you want to nominate early in the month, although later in the month, or even the same week, another awesome pic comes forth that you feel is worthy of nominating, thus, making more than one nomination (but at different and independent times) within the same month.

To repeatedly quote the same pic when making a reply simply is a waste to server space as well as confusing to the one who has to sort out the poll thread. Having started, and then ran the POTM in the past for about 5 years straight, I can say that weeding through all the comments is a painstaking task...when the thread would be best served by only containing nominations, sure would make sorting out the poll thread easier. Maybe MAIG will decide only nominations should be made here and comment posts should not be made at all until the poll thread.

MAIG has used nothing less than good judgment in running the POTM, so I feel confident that some of the issues brought forth will get sorted out when MAIG goes through the thread at the end of the month and sees the input/complaints/feedback/etc.

Until then......there's still more days left in the month, and a big site here full of some excellent pics by many good photogragrowers (new word I just made up) ...so let's try and stay positive and keep new nominations coming in.

I didn't know these things were such a bother to the viewers of this thread, I can't say they have ever caused me a problem

People quoting a picture and posting their support for it does play a small role in which pics make it into the final poll since it is the members who provide the nominations so the poll should reflect what the members want to see. Obviously you don't have to quote the picture to voice your support but I've never been against it and it's easy to see which ones people are liking best
Giving your favourite picture a 'helpful post' rating would probably be too easy to distort in this thread e.g. a popular member gets nominated then asks all their friends to 'vote up' their nomination to try and sway the result, at least if people post to support a picture their intentions are more open


As for nominating more than 1 pic of the same grow in the same post, that just gives me more to choose from at the end of the month. Sometimes I have looked at a post in a grow thread containing a load of pictures alongside a nominated pic and thought they could have chosen a better one to nominate, but those ones weren't nominated so they miss out. I'm not going to encourage those kind of multiple nominations but if you can't decide between a couple of pics from the same grow you might as well post them both and I'll look to see if either one is poll-worthy

If these things are becoming too much of a problem we can look into tightening the rules on what can be posted in the nomination threads. While I have been doing POTM I just let these threads grow wild in the time that they are open since they are always closed at the end of the month to make way for the new one

Thanks for input man ... I agree when people repost pics saying how great it is and how they would like to vote for it ... I just figured people was trying to make sure it made the final cut. Remember not all nominees make the poll. Thanks for doing this myassisgrass

Two other breeders saw this plant and verified it's true color.

I think you would find the pic was taken during lights of and the reflection you are seeing on the panda is from the flash or Auxiliary lighting
You can clearly see the color in the macro shot that b00m posted too
