I would get those lights sideways to the plants and a v or u shaped reflector over them. Very little light comes out the ends of cfls. You can have the bulbs almost touching the plant, so the 5 inches of penetration that the bulb has is not lost. Maybe you have other lights coming tho.
23 watt bulbs are common and 42 watt can be had as well. If you are in the UK, well I guess it is harder there.

I agree

yes definetely hang the lights vertically. If your in the uk, i would recommend pll's, seems like they are readily available there

I've had a BM mom for about 3 Years now. Easy to grow, yields well, and the BB phenos are potent.

I grew her DrBud style for a couple of years and she does well in micro systems with CFL's. Don't be afraid to use blue spectrum bulbs to lower the heat in your space, spectrum is not as important as temperature with CFL's. This should allow you to keep ventilation costs at a minimum.

Good luck I've got this one tagged :laughing:

i'v had my eye on nirvana's blue mystic as well. curious on the "neutral odor" claim. please let us know the odor levels though out the stages! (im sure most of it has to do with the phenos, but still  ) diffidently take Breezy1's advice. power strip. check out my grow. im using 3 CFLs. two 23watts and one 26watt https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=171217 and so far its worked out pretty damn well. any questions, just ask. thats why we are all here! most importantly, good luck! im in for the count! :smoke:

Just got them in some potting compost at the moment but im planning to experiemnt with one, repotting and bury the stem. Might scar it an apply some rooting gel. Can you suggest any soil mixes, I don't fancy anything too loose. As for Ferts, I've got a pretty simple all purpose 6-5-5 waiting to be diluted, planning on making some sort of mix with growth technology's Nitrozyme. I also have a misting bottle prepared with seaweed extract. Hopefully get some pics of how they are doing later today.
